Southlands Barn

My husband (!) and I had our wedding on 29th April at Southlands Barn and it was everything we wanted it to be and more. Jackie, Phil and the team provided a family run venue at an affordable price, with beautiful surroundings, modern and clean facilities and two stunning barns to host our wedding in. They were super kind and helpful and accommodating of all of our wishes and allowed us to create the exact day we wanted. It was really important to us that we could make our wedding day flow how we wanted and to use vendors that suited our unique style and the team were so easy going in addition to making some great recommendations for people for us to use for decor, food etc. Thank you everyone! My husband and I got married here a few weeks ago and we can't thank Southlands Barn team enough.The venue is set in such a beautiful place, the addition of the highland cows is a great photo opportunity.Having a day to set up the venue before meant that everything was ready and very relaxed.The team are wonderful and they go above and beyond to ensure that your day runs seamlessly. Nothing is too much to ask. We very much enjoyed the homely feel.Thank you for making our day perfect. We would highly recommend.

Beautiful venue, my daughter & her husband selected this place because of the countryside vibe & family feel. Jackie & family did not disappoint. Nothing was too much trouble & all of them, delivered above & beyond to make the weekend really memorable & special. Utterly fantastic. Top marks look no further for your wedding day.

Absolutely incredible venue. The views are stunning, the team are extraordinary, and the venue itself is just gorgeous. And the fact that the venue is a blank slate made everything so much better. We were able to have our black wedding without having to hide anything that didn’t fit our vibe.Phil, Jaime, Jackie, Liv, Amy, and all the team went above and beyond to make our day amazing and make sure everything was perfect! From the moment we booked the venue 3 years ago, to the lead up to the day, they have been nothing but unbelievably helpful and kind. Phil and Jackie were there the whole time, making sure everything ran seamlessly all day. And Iona and Jura, the adorable Highland Cows, topped everything off, making Southlands Barn a fantastic wedding venue!

What a lovely place. Very impressive display of a simple light structure throughout the complex. Drinks were average price for a wedding. The man’s urinals are a little tight to enter and leave whilst someone is engaged. Beautiful views from the barns out into the countryside.

I was lucky enough to photograph a wedding here recently and I felt I had to write a review! The team at Southlands Barn are amazing, they really care about their couples, the guests and the suppliers, they make sure the day runs smoothly and help with everything they can. The venue itself is great; it has two barns, a bar, an outdoor ceremony area, outdoor space for the drinks reception with seating, and stunning views of their fields and lake where you can take photos. What a fantastic venue! We had the privilege of getting married at Southlands Barn on Saturday. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff are second to none and provide service that is of a personal and outstanding level. They made us feel so special and the day ran smoothly without any interventions or questions having to be asked. We would recommend them to anyone and if you are looking for a venue who will support you and be flexible to provide a wedding day that is truly your own, then Southlands is the perfect venue !

Southlands Barn was booked for our son Steven & wife Emma’s wedding in mid September.Situated in a stunning location with breathtaking views of the South Downs it is a beautiful venue & with the barns layout it has everything you could possibly need.The team of staff were all so warm & welcoming, nothing was ever too much trouble & with their attentiveness & attention to detail it made for a hassle free celebration.The generous amount of time to set up & to clear up, along with a well stocked & reasonably priced bar only added in helping to make it such a great day for family & guests.Personally I couldn’t thank everyone at Southlands Barn enough for giving us an exceptional experience that surpassed all expectations.

Me and my wife Analise had our wedding reception here on the 3rd of October and we couldn’t fault it at all. The team there (Phil, Jamie, Liv, Jackie, Amy & Tom) were absolutely amazing and super helpful on getting everything organised with the timings that were discussed beforehand which made our special day even better. We would recommend this this stunning venue which comes with the friendliest, enthusiastic team to anyone that is looking to get married and to definitely get pictures with the highland cows!!

An absolute dream of a wedding venue.My husband and I got married a couple of weeks ago in August and we fully believe our wedding would not have been as perfect as it was if we weren’t at Southlands.Right from our first viewing 11 months ago to collecting our decorations the day after the wedding, the team at Southlands were just faultless.Jackie, Phil, Amy, Liv and the rest of the team worked endlessly to make sure everything was how we wanted it. They genuinely care about each individual couple and want to give them the best day possible. Nothing was too much trouble. They made planning so easy and were so cooperative with ideas we had for our day.On the day of the wedding, we got married off site first and then arrived at Southlands in the afternoon where we were greeted by Phil and Jackie. They took us inside for a drink and helped us to gather ourselves before our guests arrived.When booking the venue, Jackie had told us to think of the venue as a blank canvas, that we could do/decorate however we wanted. We had a sit down, self-organised Afternoon Tea wedding breakfast which we are forever grateful to the team for helping bring our vision to life and making it as successful as it was. And a hog roast in the evening. The team on the day were so cheery and very welcoming.The venue is so gorgeous just as it is. We didn’t think it needed any additional decoration as everything is just perfectly set out and ready to go as it is. And outside is the panoramic view of the South Downs which is just totally breathtaking. I wanted a barn venue but didn’t think I’d be so lucky to find anywhere that was more than I could have asked for at such an affordable price.There was plenty of space for everyone, even on the dance floor. We had a total of 124 people. All of our guests commented on what a beautiful venue Southlands was and how friendly the staff were. There just weren’t enough hours in the day and we didn’t want the fun to end.Everything we had discussed and agreed on with Phil and the team went as planned e.g. our drinks package, music off at 23:00 and everyone out by 00:00.If you want a stress free and easy venue, we couldn’t recommend Southlands Barns enough.We are forever thankful to the team at Southlands for a perfect wedding day.
