Telford & Wrekin Council Highways Maintenance Department

Do Staffs Hi'ways have more money than T&W council or do they just care more about residents and 30 MPH speed limits, interesting thought !!!!Despite numerous misleading promises from T&WBC over the past 10 years we are still no further down the line in resolving the ever increasing speed of traffic on Wellington Rd Muxton..I do note however a blatant contradiction in the highways departments application or interpretation of the guidance regarding 30 mph repeater signs, I was unequivocally told it is council policy not to install repeaters, however on my last visit to Muxton Surgery I noted several repeaters on Muxton Lane, Please explainTelford & Wrekin have a very concerning view on health & safety..... in the words of a member of the highways department ( who had mysteriously disappeared when I last pointed out his comment) We will only take further action regarding the speeding traffic SHOULD THERE BE A SERIOUS or FATAL INCIDENT" it is a good job they don't take that attitude to their staff before issuing PPE or service / MOTs on their vehicle fleet!Under the freedom of information act I was issued with the results of a traffic survey here is the compelling evidence that shows something must be done! Please note this survey datum point was close to the junction of Muxton lane where traffic will be slowing to turn right

The council were very efficient on following up a neighbourhood situation.

No help whatsoever with my problem

Hopeless service after 1/2 a dozen department selections then after holding for 10 minutes more I the got asked about how good the the service is in a survey, then they hung up

Not very helpful over the phone

Automated reply your in the queue for it to get repaired.It could be a long wait. Don't hold your breath .
