Pro Kitesurfing Lessons

Whilst on holiday in Wales I booked an efoil lesson with Pro Kitesurfing. What a fantastic day.Simon, Jamie & the girls in the cafe were super friendly & professional in every way & location was to die for.Simon took me for my lesson whilst my wife & dog chilled at the cafe.Who says you can’t teach a dog new tricks? With Simons expertise, patience & encouragement he had me up on the board & floating above the waves on the foil in no time. Yes there was lots of falling in along the way but if you don’t, your not trying hard enough.I would highly recommend Pro Kitesurfing at Rhyl for efoil, kitesurfing, sup etc lessons & will be returning any time I’m in the area again.Thank you guysMuch loveAsh

I'm a 20 year old Uni student and have been wanting to try kitesurfing for the longest time. At the end of this summer i finally decided to go for it and found these guys online. I can't tell you how glad I am that I chose them.I arrived at the first lesson a bit nervous, this changed instantly. I walked in and was immediately recognised to be their student (Probably the vacant expression on my face). I found myself instantly greeted and welcomed by the instructors. The instructors create a really chilled environment, which not only allows for easy learning. But also encourages you to have fun. In the first lesson I was able to do way more than I thought I would be able to do in one lesson. The first lesson is focused on kite control and performing 'body drags'. The Instructors make you feel super safe and allow you to make mistakes without putting pressure on you. The lessons were all really personal and it feels that I have known the instructors for ages already. Post session I was encouraged to sit in the cafe, have a drink, chill and learn more about what I needed to get set up with kitesurfing.After the first lesson I was hooked, I couldn't wait to have another go. I did have to wait a little while for it. However, this was not an issue with the guys. Lessons are dependent on conditions so sometimes lessons get pushed. They don't leave you in the dark to wait. I was kept up to date with constant messages about changing conditions and they were happy to answer any questions that I had.After a little wait a day with the right conditions did present itself and allow for another lesson. This session was better than the first. This session was focused in getting on the board and getting more comfortable flying the kite. I wasn't starting the session expecting to get up and riding in the first 20 minutes but I did. By the end of the session I felt so much more comfortable with flying the kite and I think I want to do kitesurfing even more. I'm looking at a lesson or two more to get more comfortable then its just a matter of practice.Thank you to all the guys, you have literally made one of my dreams come true. :)

I've had lessons with Jas and Si over the last couple of years with large gaps due to COVID. Every lesson had increased my confidence and my desire to keep improving. The lessons are always fun, informative with safety a priority. The equipment used is the latest. Not only do these guys give lessons but also give freely advice on all aspects of Kitesurfing and everything to do with it. The shop is well stocked with quality gear at good prices. And after time on the beach the coffee in the café goes down a treat. This is and absolute gem of a place. Once visited you will want to keep coming back. Even if you are not into watersports time in the café so close to the sea is good for the soul.

An absolute amazing team of staff in a perfect location! My son thoroughly enjoyed his 2 days kitesurfing experience and as his mum felt very relaxed with the safety of this sport, I 100% recommend anyone to do this

Fantastic place to learn to kite surf and with a highly professional team who look after you all the way through the process. Not just through your lessons, but once you’ve bought the gear and are making progress independently they will continue to watch over you and advise, point in the right direction. This part of the service is invaluable and, more than that, they all become friends. The site, which can be wild and wavy or completely flat lagoons is second to none. The setting with its changing facilities, shop, cafe, bar and sunsets is just amazing.

Though ive not jumped into the water yet i can comment on the cafe/bar facilities, they are absolutly fantastic, always feel welcome! Great atmosphere, friendly staff from the management to the glass collectors they are genuinly nice chilled people, especially love that its dog friendly and we take our pup almost every week if not twice a week when we take a walk on the beach, one of our favourite places to chill mid walk!!

I cannot recommend them highly enough. I’d often thought I might enjoy a kitesurfing lesson but boy did I underestimate just how much fun it could be! I’d honestly say one of the most awesome things I’ve ever done. If you are contemplating it don’t - just book it now - you will never regret it! The facilities, equipment and people that work there are all fantastic. I’d have to say my instructor Jay was one of the best coaches out there. He adapted to my skills and ability and made potentially complicated things seem simple and logical. Most importantly he adapted his teaching to my skill level. As a result I was able to go from never having kite surfed to standing on a board being pulled over the water in no time. I’d highly recommend a 1:1 lesson if you can but I’m sure everything they offer is of a high standard. Great people and something I’ll keep going back to as often as I possibly can. Can’t wait to book my next trip!

Why is Pro Kitesurfing worth 5 stars of praise?1) The People - Simon and Jay are incredible enthusiasts for the sport and instill a sense of 'can do' into learning kite-surfing. They have great skills and patience as teachers plus are really are a pleasure to be around. They invest in you and encourage you to get to a level of independence, then help you progress to continuing with the sport. They are really well informed about both the sport and the environments in which they teach. Safety is embedded in how they teach so that you learn what to do if something untoward happens and how to get out of trouble and safely back to shore2) The Set Up - Simon has established a super set up right on the beach - changing rooms, hot showers, hot drinks, bar. (If you have tried man in a van set ups you will appreciate why this is such a bonus)3) Kit - the kit is high quality and well maintained from kites & harnesses through to helmets - this in my experience is not the case elsewhere.4) Environment - sand bars and lagoons - while I am no expert, it is clear that not being swamped by waves helps your speed of progression. The guys also teach on other locations in North Wales - this is great to maximise the conditions.Conclusion - I have really enjoyed my learning experience and would honestly highly recommend learning with the Pro Kitesurfing team.
