I don’t recommend Pete.- BACKGROUND: I made full payment upon Pete’s request as a gesture of goodwill, when he had completed only 70% of the works. It’s staggering how his attitude and attention changed 180 degrees after the final payment (an expensive lesson learnt for me).- UNPROFESSIONAL: I tried to plan remaining works but he didn’t reply my e-mails for weeks. When I finally rang him, we had a disagreement, which then started to escalate as we started voicing unhappiness on each side with regards to several other things. As the conversation was heating up, I asked, multiple times in fact, to talk another day; but he kept going on. Finally, he started yelling and swearing (multiple times) on the call.- NO COMPLETION: Then they came for one more visit, where Pete again had to leave early. And eventually, he didn’t complete some of the agreed upon items, including leaving radiator and overhead light wires exposed in some items (photos attached) and failing to install one of the control screens for the electric radiator. I tried reaching him again on whatsapp 3 times, but he stopped responding.- (HIGHER) PRICING: Contract was about GBP 4.7k. Other electricians had a similar range, but they included almost full re-wiring. Despite not having re-wiring, I decided to go ahead with Pete, as he was very nice and attentive in the beginning.- MEDIOCRE QUALITY: There were mistakes where they installed the heating elements in the wrong order in the radiators (because Pete/his team didn’t check sizes) and also light switches in the wrong order. My radiator was overheating as a result until they fixed it weeks later.- PAYMENTS: Upon his request, I paid half of the amount in cash instead of bank transfer. As I paid in cash, I was keen to get an invoice to have my transaction trails. Despite having asked several times, I never received my invoice for the full amount.- DISREGARD OF RULES: Despite I always arranged a street parking and knowing he could not park in the car park, he left his car in the car park, resulting in complaints from my porter.- TIDINESS: My builder commented that his rubbish was not well organized and he had to spend extra time to tidy up & dispose of his rubbish.- POOR PLANNING: When he asked about electric mains for fusebox replacement, I explained him that it is only accessible through the porter, as well as porter's working hours. Then a few days later, he complained to me that he couldn’t access the mains (but it was because it was out of porter's working hours).- POOR COMMUNICATION: My builders had to stop works early one day because he planned a fusebox replacement for that day without informing me.- LACK OF COORDINATION: His colleague started installing radiators and Pete wasn’t on site. Next thing I know Pete called me to complain and asked for a plumber. In reality, the radiators didn’t need plumber, they were electric and apparently he never looked at installation guides I sent (or shared with his colleague). Separately, there were areas that could cost me much less painting or disposal costs later on, if he warned me about.- UNPLEASANT APPROACH: Despite me trying to be kind, helpful and mindful of his schedule, he was complaining and blaming a lot (especially after full payment), sometimes by cross checking my words with his colleague to insinuate that I might be lying (e.g. about readiness of flanks) or by distracting the truth. This was a very unpleasant experience. These comments do not apply to Connor (his colleague), who was a nice person.This was a small residential renovation coordinated by me. Pete was very unhappy that he had work alongside other tradesman in some of the days. Maybe he’d do better with a dedicated project manager… In my renovation, I worked with 4-5 different tradesmen and departed with all in good terms, except Pete. I waited months to calm down; and this is my first ever negative Google review - so I hope you understand I thought a lot before posting this and I had to do so, due to his unprofessional approach on phone and incomplete works.

Employed E5 to install some new light fittings as well as fix some existing work which had been left by a previous electrician. Really professional, affordable and experienced. All fixtures and fittings installed to a professional standard. Would definitely recommend

Pete installed 9 pendant ceiling lights throughout my house and did a brilliant job! So efficient and speedy and a really lovely guy. Would definitely use him again!

Have used E5 electrics for many jobs now. Most recently to install outside lights. Always very impressed with Peters work, and very much appreciate that he cares for the aesthetics of his work meaning the completed work always looks great, as well as being fully functional.
