My experience was disappointing, I had high expectations. My appointment started late which I can not blame the stylist because her earlier appointments came late but this impacted I believe my experience. Quality of hair good. However, the style was not good stylist used clippers to create a bob which meant ends are too sharp in addition to that I got home and realised it was uneven. Please do not leave without getting what you asked for in hindsight thats what I should have done

I got married over the summer and Heather styled my hair as well as my 8 bridesmaids. From the process of booking Heather herself and her team were very helpful, offering me advice along the way. On the day Heather arrived promptly and despite my bridesmaids having different length hair and styles, she somehow managed to make them look unique yet in unison. She made me feel at ease and her attention to detail was just amazing. She is someone who genuinely loves what she does and therefore takes pride in her work and ensures the client is happy. I couldn’t have chosen a better stylist and would highly recommend!

I’ve been to the salon in November. They relaxed my hair for £185 with a relaxer the hair dresser bought for £4 next door. I should have run away when I saw her coming back with a black bag. She wasn’t even prepared in advance fir my appointment. I would not recommend. Also I gave £20 deposit and I’m not sure it was taken off the final cost. I went there because they are the closest to me with a private room (I’m a hijabi). Her technique was not great as I’m sure you’re not supposed to “shampoo” my hair with the relaxer as it will burn my scalp, which it did at the front. It was to be expected! I didn’t call to let them know as there was no point, it’s done! I just want people to know that what they use is not a relaxer you’d expect from a professional hair salon, I’ve never seen a hair dresser going to buy a relaxer in a Afro shop for their clients! It took me some time to reflect on what happen and what shouldn’t have before making this review. I will go back to my usual hair dresser in Tottenham if thought it’s far away but cheaper and legit. You would expect your hair dresser to have a look at your hair texture before knowing which relaxer to use and talk you through it isn’t it?! Well.. it wasn’t the case for me sadly. My hair was relaxed, no doubt about it but I left with burns days after that and my hair is now brittle and thin because she didn’t use (or May I say buy!) the appropriate relaxer for my hair type. So be careful before booking, ask the right questions if you care for your hair!

This salon is absolutely wonderful, beautiful vibes, lovely team.I received an Excellent service and left with a stunning hair cut by a extremely talented stylists called Olivia.The Manager Heather and all the staff were very friendly and made me feel very comfortable ( It being my first vist to the salon). I will definitely be returning and I highly recommended this as a place to go.

I've been going here since the beginning of the year and have now had 4 appointments with 4 different stylists. I've found all the stylists approachable and knowledgeable especially around natural hair and *my* specific hair needs. I wish I took a picture at the beginning of coming because the difference has been clear! I definitely trust them with my hair and I'm fussy when it comes to that. Also want to give a HUGE shout out to stylist Sharon aka gifted hands!! The care, patience and detail that went into my hair was incredible. I'm really hoping they open another branch in SE London because the only down side is travelling an hour to get there.

Really amazing place, very spacious and serene. The customer service was top notch, friendly and I loved the final outcome of my hair. Straightening thick hair can be challenging but it was done at this salon so smoothly and beautifully. Highly recommended!

I have tried a number of salons across south London and would always end up with my scalp being burnt after having it relaxed. When I came to Her Definition they took the time to work with me and understand my hair, being super careful with the relaxer as I have very sensitive scalp. At the time I had short hair and was frustrated at the lack of growth. Heather put me on a hair growth plan which involved regular treatments, trims, protected styles and eventually stopping my relaxer and starting a texture release. The transformation has been incredible and Heather and Sharon have worked wonders on my hair. Sharon even styled my hair for my wedding day! This is honestly the best salon I’ve been to and everyone is so knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming.

I loved the end result of my hair and the care and passion that was taken by the stylist throughout. It was my first visit but I will definitely be going back!

I am so pleased with the lashes I had applied today. The technician was so skilled, she listened and consulted me. She was patient and beyond kind throughout. The salon generally has lovely staff with welcomed professionalism and to top it’s just such a lovely interior. Highly recommended.

Beautiful set of lashes done by Vee! I trust that she will deliver every time and she does. I wanted drama but also natural and she did it. I was running late for my appointment but she was so patient and willing to fit me in. Thank you so much for your professionalism. #TheGoodLashStudio
