I joined Boot Camp in April 2022 initially just for the 6 week introductory period but I am still going!! John’s enthusiasm is contagious!! His experience and passion for fitness has inspirational.My fitness levels have increased dramatically, so much so that I now enjoy taking part in John’s weekly Running Club on Sunday morning’s!The comaraderie amongst the ladies is brilliant and I have made some awesome friends!

I joined Bootcamp in January 2023 and haven’t looked back! I really enjoy the opportunity to exercise with others, outside at a time that suits my lifestyle. The classes are suitable for a varied level of fitness, and John is really motivating, reliable and makes exercising fun! Would highly recommend.

I am coming to the end of my 6 week trial and have found the whole experience a successful one. I have lost weight and have really noticed a physical difference in the way I look. Exercising in the early morning sets you up for the day in a really positive way, and meeting people who are friendly and down to earth makes it an enjoyable experience. John's coaching has been really effective in challenging myself and key to my success.

I’ve been with this brilliant team for just under 4 weeks. I’m already noticing some changes to my strength and fitness really early on but what’s more noticeable is the desire to keep going! I’ve been going 4 times a week and genuinely look forward to it. Both John and Ed are great motivators and check in with you regularly. You’re supported and challenged to do the best that you can do - but never shamed. Exercising outside is very liberating and the rest of the group are extremely welcoming and a really friendly bunch. There are a number of session times so you can fit in around other commitments.I’ve joined gyms in the past -never enjoyed going and so always stopped.I already know that I’m going to make this part of my life. Joining was one of the best decisions I made.

I hadn't done any exercise for 18 months and wanted to get moving again and try to lose some weight. I learnt so much from my 6 week programme at Women on the Move! John and Ed are highly skilled and professional as trainers and also very welcoming, down to earth and supportive. The whole group is really friendly and it's also great to exercise outside in Queen's Park, Harborne. The exercises really strengthen your muscles and improve your fitness and it's fun. You receive great straightforward sensible nutrition advice with a simple, easy to follow weekly menu just as a suggestion to kick start some weight loss. I was very pleased to lose 7 pounds by the 5th week and an inch off my waist and hips! There is a great feel to the group, there is no judgement, you are encouraged to do what you can and the exercises are always demonstrated to you first with differentiation to suit all abilities. The exercises are done in short bursts with regular few minute breaks in between and the 45 minutes goes really quickly! I am very grateful to have discovered women on the move, it came at the right time for me and i am not a sporty person at all. There are classes on 4 days a week and at different times from very early morning to early evening. You will certainly receive a very warm welcome and loads of holistic support. I would certainly encourage anyone who's thinking about it to go along!

I am so pleased that I found John and Women on the Move. I was struggling with keeping active and eating well: I had had Cancer and Endometriosis which meant two major surgeries, treatment and medication - all during the Coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns. I was overweight, miserable and knew I needed to do something, but the gym made me feel very uncomfortable and the attitudes of others going made me incredibly self conscious. The eating plans that had been successful were no longer. I needed a new approach.That’s when I found Women on the Move. From the moment I contacted John, who was supportive and empathetic to my very first training session (a dark and cold morning in November) I felt supported, optimistic and most importantly welcomed and understood. Everyone was very friendly and whilst it was challenging starting, I got into the swing of it. I lost 8lb in 3 weeks.John and Ed motivate you and make you enjoy the sessions and are on hand to support the group and individually by sharing nutrition and lifestyle tips. Not only is my eating and exercise better but also my sleep.I cannot praise John and “Women on the Move” enough. It’s also excellent value for money. I’d recommend ladies “take the plunge” and join, they’d be very welcome.

Joined as someone , doing zero exercise for over 20 years , so pleased I did, now 2 stone lighter, feeling and looking much better .The session times work giving great flexibility, the group is lovely, there is as much support as you want , and no pressure.Crazy for me to be saying ‘ A 6am session really does makes you feel good for the day and that I’m looking forward to my second winter in all weathers in the park’Thanks guys

I joined Women on the Move in June 2023 and this has been great for my fitness and my will power, as a Rheamatoid Patient for over 22 years I was constantly told by doctors to rest my joints to the point I was losing strength and muscle. John changed this for me giving me the confidence to participate in a group workout and by week 3, I had gained the strength to carry out exercises which I had never thought I could with my weak wrists, this has been a game changer for me.Today, after 3 months of consistency, attending the sessions, the encouragement from not only John and Ed but the other ladies in the group I am feeling the best in fitness as I have in years!!The added motivation was John’s challenges every so often and his commitment to support you throughout, whether it be guidance on nutrition or exercise routines he made it work for you, this was great.Great experience.Thank you again to the team at Women on the Move!

Working with John has been a complete game-changer. I had already lost 4 stone but I was not physically strong nor fit. I am a work in progress but am really starting to see the difference. I love the coaching, the challenge, the laughter, the support and even the mud. What a great start to the day. Beth ❤️
