I called in today for essential things which I can't buy anywhere else. They have the best sandwiches in town. Great staff and ambience to the place. However, I find myself shopping there less as I can get many of the same items much cheaper elsewhere. e.g. microwave rice packs £1-65, whereas Tesco just put theirs up to £1-10. And Tesco's beef in black bean sauce is better than that sold in Waitrose at about half the price.

Repeated rescans, indifferent staff. I've initially enjoyed using their self scan, but for my last 7 shops I've been put through 5 rescans! Needing to pack out everything and rescan makes this not just pointless but counter productive. It's extremely frustrating as I tend to do reasonably large shops, not just grab bread and milk. I've raised this with staff multiple times but they just shrug and say it's completely random". The rescan process itself is also poorly supported by the staff as the expectation is that the customer unpacks and repacks their own goods while staff just beep the items you hold up. Do this several times with a shop of two large bags and you begin to understand my frustration. Surely as it's linked to the MyWaitrose card

Had a coffee in cafe and had to take my wifes cup back as it had lipstick on it.When we got home the cherry pie we purchased was found to be two days past its use by date.We were asked to bring it back and were given a £5 gift card and cost of pie refunded.Hardly covered the cost of petrol.

Shopping experience was excellent. Used the trolley with wheelchair readily available. I do not shop often but I was on that route to drop in. Staff very friendly and so helpful. I only wished it was closer to me.

We ordered a whole salmon approximately ten days ago. We went to pick it up this morning, however when we arrived we were informed that there was only a side of salmon and not a whole salmon as we orderedWhen we Queried this with the fishmonger he replied that none came in as there was a shortage in the area. We then replied that we should have been informed of this as our telephone number had been given when the whole salmon was ordered.The fishmonger replied that he hadn't had time to look in his communication book this morning, this was not good enough.We asked for the manager and explained the situation he offered to telephone other stores to no avail. They did offer us cuts if salmon at a reduced price but this isn't what we wanted.The management has however given us a £15 gift card to spend in the storeWe left the store unhappy with this outcome as the order was for a party .
