Small train station with ticket machine, also has a ticket office but this is closed most of the time. No lift at the station, no proper shelter as well for when it rains etc

A small but old station convenient for commuters to/from this peculiar part of Reading. Probably don't leave your bike here

Completely rubbish station in almost every way. Limited seating, rubbish shelter, ticket machines on one side only and a make shift temporary exit that really should've been completed by now and should offer step free access to the street.Trains towards Newbury and Basingstoke stop nowhere near the station entrance.

Good little station when you don't want to have to walk to Reading Main, only down point is that disabled and pram access is incredible poor lovely guy that works in the ticket office always has a smile and is very pleasant

Cold and tiny but functional. When it's raining, you might want to stand under the bridge but don't, it leaks and you'll get wet. Good fun though.

The ticket machines are only on one side of the station. And now when it is being rebuilt it is even harder to get to them and come back while using the other platform

It doesn't seem very safe. You can see a notice in the machines saying that because of the robbing they don't use cash on them.

This is probably one of the most unfriendly wheelchair user train stations I have come across thus far. There is no facility whatsoever to assist the wheelchair user. There is no lift system in place to assist the disabled person to come into the station and furthermore cross over from platform 2 to platform 1. This station is highly not recommended for the disabled or wheelchair user, there will be no-one here to help you. This station, from what I can see is not manned, and whilst I was there waiting for the Reading train to arrive, a member of staff ( I shall presume) unlocked the door to an office area on platform two and locked themselves in there. There are CCV cameras fitted in the station platforms, with a very old bridge crossing over to platform one. There are no adequate shelter rooms for bad weather available and this station does not have the appearance its safe" especially at night. That said

I hope when the revamp is done that they've actually built a bridge across the platforms, so you don't have to walk all the way down the dodgy alleyway to Oxford Road to then enter back.
