Very disappointing lack of response to our appeal for a kitten. Sent in 2 application forms, a facebook message, an e-mail and numerous attempts to call them and to date we have had no response( over 2 weeks later). I am sure they are doing a good job in looking after and rehoming animals however, we have not had a positive experience with HAWS and, fortunately for us, we have been able to adopt a kitten from another rescue group.

Sent 3 separate emails and application forms to request to rehome a cat, all with no response (over a 3 week period). I can see there are other reviewers with the same experience.We have ended up rehoming 2 cats from RSPCA, who responded very quickly.

It took a very long time (about 3 months) to be contacted but once that happened everything moved quickly and smoothly.We love our new kitten and I'd happily recommend HAWs as long as you're ok waiting a little while.

I've had my boy for over 5 years and he has brought me endless joy. HAWS are an incredible charity who want to help pets find their forever home. We were carefully better before I adopted my kitten and given a few to look at. It felt like HAWs cared for the cats welfare and making sure the owner got the right pet for them. Thank you for giving me a buddy for life.

We got our cat named Mia from here over 16 years ago now (30.10.03). They were super helpful and helped us pick the perfect cat for our family, and we kept in contact with the foster-er for a while afterwards. Mia passed away 20.12.19 at the age of 17/18 years surrounded by those who loved her. A sincere thank you to the Hounslow Animal Welfare Society for rescuing our baby girl and giving her 16 more years of life than she would have had otherwise.- Rowan

We adopted our second house rabbit Poca from HAWS during the coronavirus pandemic. Lu couldn’t have been more helpful and supportive throughout the bonding and adoption process, especially given the lockdown restrictions. We would highly recommend HAWS if you are looking to adopt an animal.

Amazing charity, found wonderful homes for several stray cats I’ve rescued from neighborhoods over the years.Their dedication and knowledge of rescuing cats is second to none!I also adopted a lovely cat from them who passed away after 18 years last year.

They came and rescued many stray cats from my area which took up residence in my garden. Those that could be adopted were put up for adoption and the rest were neutered and bought back which is fine by me. We now have 3 cute cats living in our garden which we bought small houses for and which live happily

Five years ago I tried to adopt a kitten from here. I picked a kitten. The next day when I contacted them they said they only adopt in pairs. How unprofessional and callous. I then went to another local charity to adopt a kitten who were amazing and five years later I have my lovely cat. I wouldn't have given any stars but cannot post without at least one.In relation to your response that was not the case with me. There were no stipulations on any of the kittens I looked at. However it really is irrelevant to me now.

I had heard great things about the organisation from friends and colleagues, however I did not experiment the same customer service.I had emailed regarding their area of operations and had mentioned a cat as an example, giving no background of myself or my experience of cat owning. The response I received was short, assumtive and quite dismissive. I replied with my opinions and feedback on the professionalism of the email to then receive an extremely sarcastic email in reply.It is a shame that this was my experience as I feel that a company such as this should hold high standards in their customer service and be able to take on criticism. I hope others do not experience the same and that the animals at the society can find their forever homes.
