The Jersey Arms
Nicely decorated, old buildings with nice pub and outdoor garden. Well supplied rooms (iron, tea/coffee, hairdryer). Fantastic for the price. Later check-in and out compared to other hotels so useful for travelling.

There isn’t one part of our experience here we would recommend.I always feel it’s best to make up your own opinion on some places but take my word on this - stay elsewhere! It was £55 for 1 night, very cheap so we absolutely didn’t expect the finest but I’ve stayed in better 12 dorm youth hostels!Got there to have to search for someone to help us check in - checked in the room was ABSOLUTELY BOILING! We tried to turn the heating down - didn’t work. Room it’s self was absolutely fine. The shower was cold and the pressure was diabolical! You’d be better getting a bath. We were told that they only serve food at certain times so we got there early as that works fine for us to eat when suited them - to be told they don’t do food at all. We came back from driving into Bicester for dinner and our room was still SO hot, so I went to reception to see if they could assist and turn it off to be told our radiator had broken but they don’t have the handy man in until Tuesday and “it’s nice in the winter” so suggested it had been broken a long time! All rooms were apparently full so couldn’t move us. I was told to put the fan on. Had we not lived 4hours away (we were breaking up our journey home from Cornwall so genuinely was just looking for a bed) we would have checked out. Doors banging all through the night despite only seeing 2 other guests! The room was so uncomfortably hot all night neither of us slept much. Got up - went downstairs to see about breakfast - no one to be seen. We went down 4 times and waiting downstairs and ringing the bell several times - we decided to leave. We just had to leave our key on the side.

This hotel is one of the cutest places I've stayed at, with the building being an older build it shows with its fantastic little quirks.Animal friendly environment, with dog treats at the reception desk.We came as group of 5 with 3 bedrooms between us. All 3 rooms was clean, nicely furnished and cosy to be in. The rooms was supplied with a fan, freeview TV, hairdryer, iron, ironboard, kettle and tea & coffee.Excellent car park space, with a spacious garden area. The staff was extremely overworked but done a fantastic job, excellent service and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. The bar area came with a different variety of alcoholic and soft drinks. Very cosy setting, with a beautiful fire place and hidden at the side are boardgames you can help yourself to.Breakfast included either a cooked breakfast or a continental breakfast and both up to brilliant standards.I would definitely visit again for another lovely weekend.

Stayed one night with my missus and 2 kids (yeah, they are our kids). The room was ok although on closer inspection the decor is getting a bit tired.Speaking of tired, the bed was clean and very comfortable. Got a real nice night's sleep.Even though the hotel is situated between two roads it is a nice and quiet location with good parking. The breakfast was simple. Toast and cereals with a selection of hot and cold drinks. Simple but adequate. The whole building itself has seen better days and could do with a refurb. But, hey, it's served it's purpose quite well and we'd probably use it again. As the saying goes, cheap and cheerful.

Stayed here for a nights stay. I can put my hand up and say I found it difficult to find the parking when using google maps and parking display signs only work once your close enough to the parking either wise you can easily miss it.On the night is question there was no cook / chef so couldn’t get cooked breakfast as originally planned but the young man on duty kindly sorted that for us. The bed is good to sleep on but the rooms could use a bit of an touch up, nothing major but more to look a pleasing on the eye .

Beautiful 17th century Inn perfectly located for visiting Oxford and Blenheim Palace. This was our second stay at this quaint and qwerky Inn, the whole place is full of character and charm, the rooms are clean and comfortable with everything you could need for a lovely stay. Staff are friendly and helpful, good parking and a well stocked bar . We are already booked to return .

No cooked breakfast on both mornings, was the biggest disappointment. We paid around 8 pound per person, for a cold cheap breakfast. The toaster was plugged into a faulty socket. Our Table on 2nd morning wasn't cleaned from our previous breakfast.Highly disappointed and will not be back.

The room was very dirty. The headboard hadn't been dusted in some time. The carpet had stains on. The electricity sockets didn't work with the exception of the TV and the socket next to it. We ended up using an extension cable to charge our phones and have a bedside lamp. The bathroom was extremely dirty, hadn't had a good clean for a while. There was empty wrapping from the previous occupiers in the bathroom. We had to request clean towels, although it does say in the welcome book that clean towels will be provided. The staff were friendly.
