The staff were messing about and eating in the kitchen then going to serve food without washing their hands. I then got home and found out they hadn’t added a portion of chips. Their onion rings were soggy and the curry sauces had leaked in the bag.

First time using TN30 Fish & Chips and sadly I don't think I can really recommend it which is a shame.I don't like leaving poor reviews, however I am only sharing my own experience and opinion.Firstly the young lady serving was very blunt and no sooner had I walked through the door she said what do you want? I hadn't even had a chance to look at the menu.The service was quick and I can't fault them in that area but the food was pretty awful, soggy chips that were barely warm and a burger that was overcooked and like rubber, chip portion size was very generous however I don't think I will be returning.Sorry!

My partner usually spends between £17 & £24 here for 4 meals of varying sizes & choices. One of our teenagers is away so this time just 3 meals at a staggering cost of OVER £30!!!! We had discussed pizza, wine, salad from Waitrose nearby but due to busy schedule dove in here instead. We could have bought a 3 day shop from waitrose for that!!!!! My partner queried the bill but was told inflation cost of living, prices have gone up. Well as a business owner myself I can tell you that this is a business takking advantage of the crisis. This rise is pure extortion. We will not be going here again. Added to that the chips were not properly cooked, the fish stringy with uncooked batter on one side and as for the Salt & finger, It's almost as though they are saving costs on that too. Had to add it when she got home. All for £30. Still feel cross about it. When fish & chips becomes more expensive than a shop at waitrose you know something has gone wrong.

Cooks/food service handlers shouldn't be eating within the kitchen or the serving area. Staff are required to wash their hands between eating or touching their face, and handling customer's food.When I see innocuous seeming things like this, I wonder where else their policies an procedures are being ignored.Please ensure your staff have completed (and abide by the rules it teaches) a basic food hygiene course.That said, the food has been good all 3 times we've eaten from here, before.

Lovely chips. The portion sizes are generous and it was all reasonably priced. The children's meals come in a nice box that you can carry, which was very practical. We popped in on a Saturday afternoon and didn't have to wait too long. Free parking outside, ideal for picking up.

Beautiful fish and chips, my fish was cooked to perfection and chicken chunks were the best ever. Delivered by a lovely team of gentlemen who brought my food so quick, the food was piping when it arrived. Best fish and chips in Tenterden and surrounding areas by quite a distance
