Cakes and Bakes Goodmayes

Ruined my mum's birthday.... We have ordered from this company 4 times and 3 out of 4 our order has never been done. We always have to chase up our cake orders. Special with this store Goodmayes. Well yesterday was just unacceptable. I could tell the cake had been made in the time we were on the phone disputing our order, once they realised that they have messed up our order before, the made the cake while we were on our way. This would have beeb lovely if the changed the icing. Also put 50 instead of 60 it was embarrassing to say the least.

Came here on Thursday to purchase a slice a cake. I was also feeling quite dizzy and the kind lady serving me offered me a glass of water. I’d give 5 stars for the customer service!I took off a star because the cake was definitely not fresh, didn’t continue eating it after the first bite.

Fantastic experience, first time at this branch and customer service was exceptional. Cake slice looks fresh and I’m sure it’ll taste great too!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!I would give this company ZERO STARS!If you want a cake that looks and tastes horrible, then order from this company. What you ask for is not what you get. Cakes and Bakes assure you that they can make what you ask for, and from my experience I can guarantee you will not get what you ask for. They charge you ridiculous amounts for a dry cake you could get made even better from somewhere like Cake Box. Customer service is just as bad! Once they email you, they copy and paste the same response they have sent and then stop responding. No refund provided also and they would not take their cake back as well. Clear example below of what I requested and what I received. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! DO NOT BUY!

Ordered cake and woman wouldnt take special instructions to change colour of cream and flower artangement over phone told me do it online when i tried no way provided for this extra comments so called back and she asked me to lay first so made online order. My message was Umrah and Ramadan Mubarak, but soem reason they decide to do all capitals and did not know how to put enough space and didnt know how to write it and fills all space with this. I have got similar length text on cake so it is possible. Did not lool good at all on cale see photo

I've bought this two cakes for my children birthdays, despite all the reviews that I saw. The romanian girl from the counter was amazing, she had a lot of patience with me and advised what she thought it was better. Shame on me because I forgot her name. Maybe Eliza. The place is nice and clean, the cakes are amazingly tasty. I would recommend to buy from Cakes & Bakes, but please read what you want to be written on the cake. :) My daughter's name is Erika but it was misspelled. I corrected it myself because I didn't read it in time on the shop. Still, a pleasure to buy from you! We're human, we all can do mistakes.

Absolutely disgusting!!!I paid £152 for my daughter birthday cake and i only got breaded cake,no cream no syrup whatsoever no taste no aspect.It was really dry and all went to the bin.The worst cake i ever seen in my life.Really disappointed !!!The cake doesn’t deserve a star at all!!!

I like all cakes but I have one objective when you sale ur cake please add 50p for bag add in cake but when people collected cake and than they pay for bag that very hard I just suggest rise 50p price in cake but don't charge bag price at your shopThanksBut cake taste and quality both good
