Hafan Yr Haul

Had a lovely weekend at Hafan yr Haul. Our second time visiting and we weren’t disappointed. A beautiful house with great views and walks on the doorstep. The house is equipped with everything you need and more. Booking is very easy and communication with owners excellent.Would definitely recommend a stay here for family groups, the children also loved it. Thank you for a great weekend!

We had a lovely family holiday with our grown up children. There was lots of room for everyone, the views out of the windows are great. The kitchen was well equipped. and we never ran out of cups, plates or cutlery which is often the case. It was lovely and clean. We found parking to be a little tight but it was manageable.

Simply a top-rate, first class place to stay. So peaceful and with the most amazing views across the valley. The property is very well equipped and to a high standard. We loved the nearby walks and beautiful sandy beaches that were quiet, and go on for miles. We recommend taking the train from Morfa Mawddach along the coast, and then the narrow-gauge Talylynn steam railway from Tywyn through the most wonderful countryside. Walking across Barmouth Bridge and into the costal town is another of the many idyllic treats locally. Aberdovy is another stunning beach and town we visited several times. As you can tell, we loved everything about the place. It’s a jewel in the crown of Wales, and one we’ll come back to again.

Living abroad and feeling we have been losing touch with the extended family over the last covid ridden years, we decided to arrange a big family reunion/holiday spread over 2 weeks based around Hafan Yr Haul with other rented properties to accommodate everyone. We never moved and the other members of the family came and went over the fortnight. It could not have been done without the organisational help of Angela and Pete. The communication has been superb and it has gone without a hitch. We have had the best holiday in years and have now reconnected with all our family as well as creating some lovely memories. Thankyou Angela and Pete for your help with all this. Amazing house in a super location for walking right from the house. Everything you could possibly need is provided. Beds super comfy and the showers are truly awesome. Great hosts who provide loads of information on the house and area. Highly recommended.

Hafan Yr Haul is a wonderful house in a stunning location. The Mawddach estuary is surely one of the most beautiful places on earth, and the house's slightly elevated location and picture windows make the most of its setting, even when the weather is less than ideal. Beds (which can be made up as super king size doubles, or singles on request) are among the most comfortable I've slept in. The house is beautifully designed and finished, generously furnished for the number it sleeps, and the bathrooms are tastefully designed, with excellent showers. Self catering houses often have irritating equipment shortages, but not this one - everything we needed on both our stays was to hand, and we cook properly. The need to dry boots and waterproofs has been catered for.Outstanding beaches, hill walking, and cycling are either on the doorstep or within a couple of miles. For the energetic, the walk from Minfford over Cadair Idris then back to the house makes an incomparable day out. Very highly recommended!

A perfect weekend spent here. The house is spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The views are stunning with lots of beautiful walks literally on the doorstep. Can't wait to return.

Second time returning - Absolutely beautiful! Stunning house set in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Lovely and clean all throughout and so well equipped! Can not wait to return!

We had a pleasant Easter stay at Hafan Yr Haul. The house had some lovely views and was extremely well insulated which made it very cosy. Generally the facilities were good with a well equipped kitchen and gas BBQ. There were a few issues however. The broadband was appalling (3 mobile broadband - say no more) and pretty much non existent for the duration of the stay. The main shower head was faulty so everyone had to use en-suite. On-site parking was tricky at times as there was very little room to manoeuvre in/out when it was full. The main living/dining area was overrun with ants which was frustrating as we couldn’t leave food out for any length of time and spent a large proportion of our stay cleaning and killing ants. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and found the location very picturesque and good for walks into Barmouth and Fairbourne.

Where to start……….This house is absolutely amazing and we have had an amazing time from start to finish. It was our second time at the house and it never fails to disappoint. The house was absolutely immaculate and the bed was very comfy, the living spaces are spacious and fantastically decorated, with unreal views all around, they truly never get old. This place really has everything, from parking to board games to underfloor heating. I recommended this place to any family who is looking for an an amazing/safe place to make memories to last a lifetime.I hope we are lucky enough to book this place again in the future.
