I was excited to get my sandwich from here as iv not used it in 3 years due to moving away. I always had a large bacon egg and black pudding at least once a week for 2 years due to living 5 minutes from the shop. When I arrived I asked for my usual large sandwich to find out they had no black pudding and no large bread cakes. All good things come to a end. The service was also slow. Gutted as it was always the best sarnie shop in hull.Update 6/8/2023 back in Hull so thought I'd give John's another go. Still no large breadcaked and no black pudding. Sad as this was one of the best sandwich shops in Hull.

Best sandwiches this side of the river, possibly the best in the city.Always greeted warmly by the lovely ladies.Cheeky and cheerful and always listening to your special instructions, that's why I go every other Friday.Thankyou for been great and keep it up!

Well been in for first week at work across Rd first day no large cakes so gave me 2 small so ok good every day after I went in and asked for large all I got was small but charged for large rang up complained after listening to them asking who did wat she said wen u come in let us know and we will give free sarny well how many does that happen to in a week waunt be going in there again rip me off

Absolutely spot on food nothing too much bother lovely women serving have a laugh not stuck up seen some negative reviews think from rivals because couldn't have asked for friendlier staff keep up the good work girls

Service is bad. Poor manners, they ignore you, take ages and serve other people in front of you. Food is way overpriced for quality. Had sausages that were clearly fried from when still frozen. Used to be much better quality a few years ago. Standards have gone down rapidly.

Every week we order from here so this isn't the first time it's happened and sat with 3 other lads who asked for beans in our sandwiches and between 3 people we've counted 51 beans what a piss take every week won't be ordering again after so many chances.Also I've just noticed my our is from Morrisons what is probably the best bit of what they sentAfter a while I decided to give johns another try well today they didn't disappoint again this time I got bacon sausage n tom I got a cut up sausage that didn't have both ends to it 7-4-2018
