Albert Square Shopping Centre

Very sad place. Many of the shops now closed and empty. WH Smith store now closing down. Grim. Even grimmer in 2022. 2023 update - The place needs rejuvenation and fast.

Empty shop fronts just a few good ones left. Not been here for a while and half fronts are empty. Come back next year probably be none. Except for B Heart Foundation. Still be there after the next ice age

Great place but it's a shame to see most of them shops empty

First you need to change the photo of Albert square, WH smith no longer trades there. It used to be busy in this part of Widnes but there has been so many shop closures in the past few years. I can't see it staying open for much longer. There are 3 pound thype shops in this location, and with the current cost of living crisis I can understand that they would profit ffom this. It's very sad to see this happen to the town, more and more businesses are closing and there are fewer places to shop for variety. I fear that if any of the remaining shops were to close in Albert square it would be the end.Don't let this put you off visiting the town as there is free parking adjacent to Iceland and sports direct, and this is central for the other shops in Widnes road.

A sad remanence of an old town centre. Plenty of nice units, great parking and a good layout but every shop is either empty or filled with charity shop, vape shops or junk shops; a real shame.i'm sure the high business rates and extortionate rent don't help local business owners compete with online only companies.

I love to shop here easy to get around near to bus station plenty of places to eat .Only down side is its lost some of the ladies clothes shops i liked shopping in .

Drab & down trodden. Only reason i have to go there is because the Lloyds bank closed down in Runcorn so needs must. Otherwise once every 2-3 months i would definitely avoid.

Worth a visit , and I like to help these shops by spending in them , rather than giving to amazon.

Great parking close by to a good range of discount shops, charity shops, cafes Shuropody and BonMarche.

Quite a few empty shops. The shops that are there are good. Couple of cafes for drink.
