The Real Adventure Company

Our family holiday to St Davids is an annual event and so is spending an afternoon sea kayaking with the Real Adventure Company. The coast around St David’s is truly beautiful but seeing it from the water really is something else. We’re total novice kayakers but we always come away feeling like we’ve had a proper adventure. It’s the highlight of our weeks trip!Pete’s expertise and local knowledge means that he knows exactly where to take us given the current conditions. The fact he’s also really good with the kids (including one that’s a bit wary of the sea) is a major bonus too. This time we headed out of Porth Clais and headed East along the amazing Pembrokeshire coast. After paddling past a number of gravity testers (people coasteering) and through various inlets, coves and sea caves, we ended up coming ashore in a sheltered cove and spent a bit of time snorkelling. As a bonus, Pete always takes loads of photos along the way so we always have a permanent reminder of our trip to download when we get home.If you’re down in St Davids I highly recommend booking a kayaking trip with the Real Adventure Company. We had a great morning surfing with Pete, who was friendly and reassuring from the start. He's an excellent teacher who took time to provide individual advice to each of our party and got some brilliant action shots too! We would happily book another experience with him in the future.

We used The Real Adventure Company to provide kayaking for a team building/well-being session for a team away day. Pete and Lyn were fantastic. They are ultimate professionals - communication in the planning process was quick, clear and helpful and they were so knowledgable, reassuring and supportive to all members of staff with varied ability on the day. Pete has excellent knowledge of the local area and tailored the activity due to weather that wasn’t ideal.Kayaking with Pete and Lyn was so much fun and we will definitely be booking again!

Pete is amazing! Before even booking he was very happy to help and tailor to what we wanted. He answered all the questions and even recommended what we should do.They have all the activities..kayaking, canoeing, coasteering ..It was our 1st time and we had no experience in sea kayaking...and total novices..with real adventure they took us step by step...Pete with his passion and experience, really got us through it. I and our team can't thank Pete enough for this wonderful experience.Also i'd like like to mention, the real adventure company geared more with passion and enthusiasm..rather than a sale. As a family of five we've had three trips out sea kayaking with Pete so far - the highlight of our annual visit to St Davids. All trips have been enjoyable, adventurous and tailored to our varying levels of confidence and competence on the water. We've been suitably supported and challenged by the experiences and have explored three different parts of the coastline. Pete is personable, professional and very knowledgeable about the local area. He is clear and responsive in his communication and instruction. We will certainly be booking a trip out with him again next year. Thank you Pete!

We went Coasteering with Pete from The Adventure Company today and loved every second! Being a small group meant Pete was able to tailor the session to our confidence level and we got the most out of the time! Pete was extremely knowledgeable and made us feel completely at ease. He took a go pro and took the time make sure he got videos of us, so we can look back on a great day. Can’t wait to come back for our next adventure!

Had an incredible time with Pete. He had us smiling from the start and read our enthusiasm immediately. We gradually increased intensity over the course of the afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed the big jumps at the end. All the equipment he provided was in good condition and kept us cosy. I love that Pete also takes the time to take photos and videos for you to keep at the end. Great day out - would recommend to anyone!

Amazing day sea kayaking along the Pembrokeshire coastline & around Ramsey Island with Pete! We had a great time seeing all the wildlife and learning how to sea kayak. Definitely recommend, we will be going back for more!

We booked an afternoon coasteering with Pete at the real adventure company and have only praise about the whole experience. from first point of contact to the care taken to send us tonnes of photos of the trip Pete was brilliant. Everyone had a great day. Pete is very knowledgeable about the natural environment and the coast and rkids felt they learnt a lot as well as having a blast jumping in. The kids said it was the best thing ever!
