Came with friends for tea and cake in the afternoon. Nice selection of cakes. I'm a Coeliac and the member of staff was extremely helpful in making sure the food was suitable for me. Will certainly come back.

Stopped by recently and was rather impressed. Sadly but pleasingly what I wanted had sold out so I had the Ruben and a coffee, the two ladies behind the counter were lovely and I really appreciated them over estimating how long the food may take as when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. When I’m back in the area it will be my coffee stop of choice.

My husband and I visited this establishment today, Sunday 28th August 2023. We ordered toasted sandwiches (as they were described on the menu). I requested a fried egg with my bacon sandwich. We don’t fry eggs the ‘can’t be bothered staff member’ advised, so I had to go with poached. So, the sandwiches come out, served with attitude, not toasted and the bread was stale. No condiments offered. We then had another rude and miserable staff member come to our table to reprimand us publicly about not bringing dogs inside. Now , the only reason that we see fit to bring our little dog inside with us was because my husband had bought takeaway coffees the day before from here and left our dog outside to order. In the corner were two dogs sitting on the floor. Therefore any intelligent person would then consider it ok to take dogs inside. No sign to say no dogs allowed & there was a dog water bowl outside the shop door. So, we are moving to Buntingford soon, many of our friends already live there. None of us have double barrel surnames, Barbour Jackets and Wellington boots but………we are respectful people with loads of disposable income, none of which is going over the counter at this miserable place ever again. It’s good to see another place is opening soon and the bakers down the street is absolutely excellent. We are more than happy to sit respectfully and peacefully outside with our dog but not at the Buntingford Coffee Shop. As Buntingford grows into a major suburb of London there will be healthy competition on its way. Good, the complacency of this place will have go.

7 of us turned up on bikes and coffee and cakes. The staff here looked after us very well. Highly recommended.

Disappointed with our stop off here today. I picked a nice slice of cake only to find out they cut a very slim slice of the slice. I questioned them about it and they said that's the size of their cuts. Well your cakes should be already cut into slices so people see what sizes they'll be getting. When you walk into a coffee shop you pay money for a big slice, let's be honest. My girlfriend's slice is what you'd call a proper size when having cake in a coffee shop. Even the pictures on here show the size they give you, nothing like what I had.As for the rest of the experience we had to wait about half hour or so for a toastie and a cheese sandwich. Which first came out as a sausage sandwich.

What a disappointment! The place and food are usually so lovely! Today the food was over cooked and the service non existent! One waitress shone with incompetence! Tea bags in cups instead of usual tea pot! We had to ask for spoons to prepare our teas, when I had to ask for the missing tea cake, the waitress couldn’t not hear me and said What instead of pardon! We won’t rush back!

The experience at the coffee shop today (and in some other times I've been) is a bit hit and miss. Basically its a nice establishment with good coffee, cake and food, but what spoils the experience is the dreadfully slow service when the younger staff are working. No disrespect intended, they are doing their best, but its all rather chaotic and today its made worse by what appears to be an understaffing issue. I and at least one other customer (a lone cyclist) were left waiting 15-20 minutes for just our one coffee to arrive. Its a shame because this could be a great place but the customer experience is so inconsistent. And its not even busy at the moment... so its down to the staff I'm afraid. Hopefully things will improve, I'll keep coming back. But there are 2 other high street establishments in Buntingford that do good coffee so we'll see what happens.

Waited 18 minutes for 3 take away hot drinks. The latte didn't have syrup in as ordered and the hot chocolate was lukewarm. Not accessible via wheelchair- step into shop. I didn't ask if there is a stowaway ramp but the toilet would not be accessible by chair anyway. This is the only coffee shop in Buntingford (I believe so anyway?) so there isn't other choice. The shop itself has nice decor and an outdoor seating area which is nice, but is in what was a disabled parking bay which is a real shame. The staff didn't appear happy to be there and seemed stressed. No reply when we called out 'thanks!' as we left.
