Julie and the team were very welcoming and thoughtful. Rooms clean and well furnished with comfortable beds. Location is perfect, pleasant rural setting with pretty gardens and a lake, but within easy reach of main roads, central for all that beautiful Norfolk has to offer.The food is out of this world! So good! Interesting varied menu with thoughtful seasonal specials such as asparagus (May). Beautifully presented and delicious.Will definitely visit again.

I had the most perfect stay at Greenbanks at the weekend for my 50th birthday with my 2 best friends and it couldn't have been better. Julie and team were the ultimate hosts with a relaxed and super friendly approach. It felt like nothing was too much trouble and I was so impressed by their thoughtful touches such as letting my friend into our room to decorate it with birthday banners before my arrival and letting us check in early as our room was ready. Thank you for making me feel so special too with the lovely birthday card and little bottle of fizz in the room.Our room was beautiful, clean and perfect in that the 3 of us could stay together. All the better for a proper girly gossip experience! The room's facilities were excellent and practical.The restaurant was beautiful and the food was just lovely. Special thanks to the chef who was so amiable and accommodating and offered lots of lovely vegetarian options to my friend. It made a refreshing change from just being offered risotto! The surprise complimentary birthday cake was...... the icing on the cake! Thank you.I felt that the hotel was fabulous value for money. The service was exemplary, the grounds beautiful and full of nature. We enjoyed an evening walk around the fishing lake and really enjoyed toasting marshmallows around the fire pit which was another extra added touch making it a very memorable experience.Thank you Julie and team for a most wonderful stay.

The room we was given for the night of our wedding was a beautiful room but it honestly felt like the heating was on causing an uncomfortable nights sleep. The view was amazing. As it was my wedding night and the room cost over £140 I did expect a few little extras but none were given. There was no kettle, tea or coffee on display and when asked i was told its in a draw but it was a bit too late by then. I even read the booklet in the room to see if it stated where they were hidden. We went to breakfast late, our fault completely, but the food was nice but very little in portion. Orange juice was offered but given in the smallest glass and no top up offered, same with the coffee. We was offered a pastry and told to take one which was actually just one cut in half. For the price and if being my wedding night I definitely expected more and was left feeling disappointed.

Wonderful hotel. Very quaint and comfortable rooms, with clean bathrooms. Staff are very friendly and professional. We stayed following a wedding and they were happy to process an earlier check in so we could arrive to the late in the night. The chef even cooked us up a vegan breakfast the next morning. Many thanks to Julie and the rest of the team!

Such nice owners, nothing is too much trouble and the food is amazing. Rooms were so spacious with a nice outside siting area and a nice walk around a lake.

What a fabulous place to stay. With hosts who give the exact amount of help and welcoming atmosphere without being imposing. Had a great sleep on the most comfortable pillows ever. Tasteful decor in keeping with the surroundings. Great breakfast served by great staff. Will now be staying again soon for family trips but also will be using for any business trips to the area. Spotless clean including pool and communal area. So if your looking a real top place to stay and a relaxing experience. Look no further than here. Even my mother who has poor mobility had great facilities that catered for here mobility issues.

We had an amazing stay. Room 5 was perfect for us and our toddler. Staff went above and beyond, letting us check in early and providing a small evening meal for our son even though the kitchen was closed. Also very good for gluten free food. We would definitely stay again!

I stayed at this hotel for business as opposed to leisure. The room was perfect, every amenity you could need. The bed was divine and I slept like a baby. I very much enjoyed the breakfast and the staff are all very welcoming and helpful. I will most certainly be back again!

We stayed at this hotel so that my husband could attend a nearby course in blacksmithing. The situation was excellent for the course but was also a very good place to stay. We had a room on a self catering basis for two nights and bed and breakfast for one night. The kitchen was well equipped and perfect for my husband’s early starts. Everything was working and attractive to the eye….quite important as I spent more time in the room than my husband did.The owners were very friendly and helpful. The variety of accommodation available is ideal for family/friend combinations. I hope we find a need to go back to the area so we can stay again.

All good about this hotel. Wonderful and interesting rooms with appealing grounds in an ideal Norfolk location topped off by very friendly and engaging owners and staff. Love this place.
