Went here to grab a drink and some good, we weren't disappointed. Nice atmosphere, good food choices and plenty of seats. Well worth a visit.

Myself and my boyfriend went to La Tasca today for food and had an amazing time. We used to go to the restaurant in Swansea and enjoyed it there so thought we would try the Cardiff restaurant. The waitress came over to us straight away and seated us. She gave us the menu's which i personally find excellent value for money. She was so friendly and answered all our questions and the food that we had was amazing in fact one of the best meals i have had. Coming from a spanish family i am used to a lot of spanish food and this was on par with what i have had when visiting Spain. The food was served quickly as well and we had excellent service making sure our drinks were topped up and that everything was ok. If you go there have a dessert aswell it was fantastic and the chef actually asked us if we enjoyed the food - how many places can you say that they do that in!

I would not recommend going here, the service was terrible, no communication as we waited for our order to be taken and a much longer wait for bland food that was not only cooked from frozen, but served by the most rude man ever when I told him my food order was incorrect he just walked off and did nothing about it. When I complained again he was very rude telling me he was too busy to sort out my food order and walked off to hide in the kitchen. The whole experience was terrible. Expensive food, terrible service. Do not bother going

Great Spanish Tapas. Hidden off the main street in a small courtyard, surrounded by many other popular restaurants. Plenty of seating outside and over 2 levels indoors. Get a 25% discount off your bill with a Gourmet Society Card.

La Tasca's business model is to serve hospital food at horribly inflated prices and to call it tapas" to give it a thin veneer of sophistication. This is not authentic Spanish food. The paella was bland and obviously cooked form frozen. The patatas bravas sauce did not have any flavour. Indeed
