All Saints Church, Little Cornard
All Saints is a Grade 1 listed building of Saxon origin - the present church is thought to date back to 1291 though the church is predominantly 14th C. The 14th C tower housed 5 bells, the earliest dated 1399 but due to the disrepair these had not rung for over 200 years. However after a major campaign sufficient funds were donated to restore and add a sixth belland thus were rung again for Armistice 2018.The church can claim fame thanks to Martin Shaw who was on holiday with Ralph Vaughn Williams during the inter-war period and wrote the popular tune to 'Hills of the North Rejoice' which is called Little Cornard.
