City London Hotel

The room was not huge but big enough. Unfortunately the heating had some issues so we spent the first night in freezing cold. Fortunately the employee at the reception was very helpful and, seeing he could not fix the heating, brought an electric heater.The hot water in the shower was a bit capricious at times but nothing major. Apart from that we appreciated the presence of fruits, biscuits, tea and coffee in the room. Not to mention the fridge that could be useful during warmer times.

After being blindsided by a fiasco involving my booking agency (who booked me the wrong hotel for the wrong price), Yan (manager) completely turned my chaotic day around and provided security and comfort after a long, trans-Atlantic journey. Her professionalism and courteousness was unmatched in the face of frustration and she made me feel like I was in the comfort of my own home while tactfully finding the right solution for my needs. The cozy and inviting lobby offers an array of complimentary snacks, beverages, and treats to guests on arrival - from hot tea to fresh juice, the staff makes sure you want for nothing. The rooms themselves offer mostly double and single beds with impressive en-suite bathrooms and both heating and air conditioning. The staff go above and beyond to ensure your needs are met and your stay is unforgettable. The building itself is beautiful and historical with an elegant front facade. With strong wifi and just a few minutes walk to the London Underground by way of Elephant and Castle station, this hotel is the perfect accommodation for single travelers or couples looking for a convenient and affordable location in central London.

- room is barely big enough to host 1 person with a suitcase.- there is no wardrobe to store your clothes (only a metal bar to hang some shirts from)- the bed is scarred from its previous customers offering almost no comfort and forcing you to sleep in the “prepped mold”.It’s also only 1,80m-1,85m long. It feels like a health risk to your back and bones trying to recuperate after a days work.- the bathroom looks nice and tidy- walls are so thin that you can hear almost any conversation or showers from your neighbours.- continuous gas pipe sounds or electrical sound from the fridge

I stayed at this hotel with my family for over one week and we had a great experience. A lot of small details from Mr. Mohammed, Ms. Yan and the whole staff that made it a perfect stay. The rooms were very clean and the Hotel is in a great location walking distance from London eye and other attractions.Highly recommended.
