Need a football pitch in Kintillo? This is the hot ticket! Changing rooms? Who needs such luxuries when you have a disused Peruvian shipping container in which to slip on your togs. Toilets? Not exactly, but those needing a 'number one' will find an abundance of shrubbery conveniently circumnavigating the pitch, although be careful! My mate Kevin headbutted a green plastic bag containing a doggie 'number 2' which was hanging from a branch when he answered a call of nature. As for the footie, a conspicuous absence of goalposts and nets only mildly mars the experience, but keyholders to the aforementioned shipping container can resolve that. Please note, gaffer tape is advised for attaching nets to posts. Bring your own hammer. I took my family to Kintillo Football Pitch as a bonding activity one drizzly Sunday afternoon. It was midge-infested and flooded. Even though my daughter trod in a 'canine walnut whip', they were so awestruck, they had no words to express their feelings of gratitude. Either that or they're no longer speaking to me. Unmissable.

A tad wet underfoot so wear wellies or waterproof boots. I walk my dog there and try to stay off the football pitch particularly just now with ground conditions. Always clean up if walking your dog, bag it and bin it or take with you if no bins. DO NOT HANG FROM TREES ETC this is so everyone can enjoy the park and no children or adults will have to contend with falling into dog poo whilst playing football or whilst involved in any other activity in the park.
