Hired a room out for my grandmas wake here and they went beyond! Great food great staff lovely atmosphere. Beautiful place. My grandad was more than pleased with this little gem! Thank you so much!

Crashed this place after my husband's cremation at the nearby crematorium. The owner was surprised but welcoming and accommodating. Called in extra staff to assist with our crowd. Everyone was so nice and looked after us with respect and courtesy.

We held a funeral wake here for 35 people and the whole thing from planning to the actual day was beautifully efficient with calls to check arrangements. On the day everything ran so smoothly and Louise and her team were so attentive. The availability of the TV for a slide show of the life of my mother in law was a nice touch and they can play your choice of music in the background if you want it. Quality and variety of food were excellent and it arrived consistently all the way through the afternoon served by the pub staff so no scramble or queues at a buffet table. The whole event totally was stress free which was so important on an emotional day. Thank you to Louise and all her helpers. ❤️

Great service, lovely covered outside area with heaters you can control. Home cooked meals and decent £. You can order drinks and food on the app too! The staff so friendly that just I had to give 5stars!

I sadly had the privilege of hosting my mum's wake at the Woodman pub, and I couldn't have asked for a more comforting and thoughtful experience. Louise and her incredible team went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect on this somber occasion.The staff, managed by Louise were impeccably dressed, very professional and offered a warmth with their attentive service, it made all the difference as they seamlessly catered to our needs throughout the event. The finger food they provided was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, adding a touch of elegance to the gathering.What truly touched my heart was the personal touch Louise and her team added by playing a slideshow of my mum's photos and her favorite music on the TV. It created a truly heartwarming and nostalgic atmosphere, allowing us to celebrate her life in a meaningful way.But what truly set this experience apart was the genuine care and empathy shown by the staff. They understood the sensitivity of the occasion and ensured that every guest felt comfortable and supported.In a time of grief, Louise's management of Steve’s pub and her remarkable team provided a space of solace, respect, and comfort.
