Only stopped for drinks whilst out walking with dogs. The staff were great, and the bar was very busy with other patrons with and without dogs. We sat in a booth and ordered a couple of well-earned drinks. The view from the bar looks out over the bay, beautiful! It had a great, friendly atmosphere, excellent location, and ample seating inside and out. We visited early November on a gloriously sunny sunday around lunchtime, and even though it was busy, there was still plenty of room for us. (Not the greatest photos, but it gives you an idea)

Mixed feelings on this one as I desperately wanted to award it a higher rating. First, the good, even great points. It's an iconic Art Deco" building inside and out and worth a visit just to see it and all the wonderful style

The host was super friendly and gave us cake slices in our room both afternoons. The bed was comfortable, the shower was perfect. There were special soaps that smelled really good. Breakfast was filling, tasty and was customizable upon request. I would stay here again!

Positives- the room we stayed in was spotlessly clean, large, and had a fantastic sea view- we were lucky with a warm fine evening and could see right over to the Lake District, and the balcony was a real treat. The cupboards were genius, and the art deco staircase amazing. The pianist was also nice touch in the hotel lounge area. The food was first class and served promptly. The breakfast was lovely, although not quite what we had asked for it wasn't an issue.Negatives- For the price tag I would have expected a higher quality 'experience' in true keeping with the period it is styled in. Maybe my expectations were too high, but the younger staff, although very friendly, eager and polite definitely needed more training in order to deliver the experience the price tag deserved. A lot of the tables outside in the evening were left full of dirty pots so we had nowhere to rest our drinks, and on returning 2 hours later they were still there, and it wasn't particularly busy. The self service part of the breakfast had run out of a couple of things such as orange juice, and we had to ask for toast as it was missed from the breakfast. I am perhaps being picky and at somewhere less expensive would not be at all bothered. The young, and probably more economical, staff just need more training and more supervision.

This hotel was built as part of the railway back in 1933, and from the outside, you can tell the building is of that age. It's lovely, though!Inside is modernised, comfortable, and has all the needs of a modern hotel. Dinner and breakfast were served at the table, and there was a good choice of both at a reasonable price. The staff are polite, well mannered, and helpful too.Our room was 201, so second-floor on the far right as you look at the front of the building. Excellent, comfortable, and well- appointed about sums this up.I'd recommend this as a place to stay for a night or two.

The Midland Hotel
Beautiful hotel with well appointed rooms and facilities. Tastefully maintained but not overdone, well served restaurant but poor vegetarian choices, however, the bar meals have more vegetarian choices available. Great for dogs as easy access to numerous places for walks and toilets while staying. Pooches are allowed to eat with you which isn't always to be assumed, but a nice touch.

Beautiful location overlooking Morecambe and the Lakes Stunning Art Deco hotel. The food and service were both of a very high standard. The toilets at Rotunda bar were a little tired looking. The rooms were very impressive furnished/laid out in a mainly Art Deco design.

We really enjoyed our recent stay here. We had two nights in room 114. We had a small balcony which faced the sea and jetty. The hotel is iconic and many famous people have stayed here. The hotel food was great and the service was fantastic. The reception, bar and restaurant staff were really nice. The hotel and rooms were clean and nice and warm which is great after a walk on the front. We watched Poirot, the episode that featured the hotel whilst there. Double Sin""

A fantastic Christmas party evening for our works do. The food was excellent, brilliant service, great entertainment. Good for vegetarians/vegans, when some of our party didn't like the original choice for vege they were offered an alternative when we called to request.Cannot fault the Christmas party experience, a great little surprise for the organiser too!Thank you to the Midland for a great night!
