This is by far the best sandwich spot in Newington. New items to the menu include some Spanish flavours from the owners, including Tarte de Santiago, empanadas and toated bread with tomato spread and olive oil. Top spot and great owners xxx

Best breakfast rolls in Edinburgh, the stuffed cookies are also incredible, I dream about them. Amazing owners, go to this cafe!

The couple who owns this place are sweethearts and you can tell they love what they do. Kind service and great food. A cute cozy cafe with greats lattes and ambiance!!

Lovely cafe with delicious food options among sandwiches, cheesecake, empanadas, toasts, rolls, etc... Their coffee is really tasty and the owners are really nice and friendly. I will recommend this place to all my friends traveling to Edinburgh with no doubt!!

Me and my dad popped into Amarelo at 8am, one of the only cafes open at this time! The bacon sandwiches were brilliant and I had the Coco Berry smoothie which was delicious. My dad was a big fan of the coffee, which is a win as he's usually very picky with this!I will definitely be returning and making my way through the rest of the menu and the fresh sandwiches and cakes they had.

Best coffee, best breakfast and really nice couple that works there. I just loved it here the 2 times i was on holiday in Edingburgh. The cosy little cafe with greatest atmosphere. Thanks for a great coffee, the cake, the sandwich.. and nice talk we had :) next time im in Edinburgh, ill be back :)

Delicious sandwiches. Delightful owners who were welcoming, friendly, and happily accommodated an ingredient swap with no fuss. We wish that we had tried Amarelo sooner!

It is a small cosy coffee shop offering a wide range of coffee, teas, and delicious snacks and desserts. I was charmed by friendliness of the coffee shop owners and their amazing cakes! There are lots of customers who frequent Amarelo. I highly recommend their flat white, beef empadanadas, and toffee cakes!
