I have been taking my 12 year old golden retriever to dan for weekly swims for the past 6 weeks. After a hip replacement and two knee surgery’s my dog was unable to do much exercise and really deteriorated. After 6 sessions I have started to get my puppy back. He is sneaking up the stairs and even trying to get on the sofa. I can’t thank Dan enough for his patience (as my dog can be a bit grumpy and protective), enthusiasm and awesome knowledge of hydrotherapy. Can’t wait to see the benefits of the next 6 weeks.

We took our dog Duke to Dan's Hydrotherapy in order to improve his confidence in water. As a big dog we also wanted him to benefit from exercise which took the strain off his joints. The whole set up was brilliant and Dan was very professional from the start, making both ourselves and our dog feel comfortable. Duke had never been a fan of water and we had always struggled to get him to even step in a puddle but Dan was able to get him into the pool and by the end of our first session we were delighted to see that he was swimming by Dan's side! We would highly recommend Dan's Best Friend. Fantastic service, we will be back!

Woohoo! He did it!My Freddie is a water phobic dog, I think. Well, he won't go near any water when we are out even when his 'sister' splashes about in the Little Sea lake at Studland. He just sits well away and watches. So, last week we had our first fun swim with Dan - who was amazingly patient! And, with a lot of coaxing, we managed to get Freddie onto the ramp - and that was it for the session. But to day.... he was swimming! And he can swim! I was amazed. OK, we still took a long time to get him in and he only did a couple of circuits, but he SWAM!This is crucial for us because he has arthritis in both front elbows. And, although he's not suffering too much yet, he will probably need hydrotherapy as he gets older and stiffer, so getting him used to the water now is a massive plus.Next week... well, who knows... maybe we'll get some video of him too. In the meantime, here's a happy picture of my gorgeous 11-year old boy..
