Cambridge Road Methodist Church

Personally I don't believe in God, it's my choice, so I don't judge others who choose to believe, we live in a democracy after all. I went along to Cambridge road with my partner who works for a charity that this church helps with Christmas gifts for families finding things tough at this time. I was impressed by the multi-generational group of people in attendance, and the manner in which the service was conducted with wit, enthusiasm and of course reverence where required. The younger members played a huge part, and did it very well. There is a great community spirit in this church, and I have to say, it was a pleasure to be there. We hear so much negative commentary regarding today's youth, but seeing these teenagers enjoying themselves, entertaining others, whilst still conveying the true meaning of Christmas, via a series of sketches based on the apprentice, yes the apprentice, was a wonderful thing, and left me feeling that there is still hope for the future. Well done to all concerned, and keep up the good work in your community.

Cambridge road Methodist church is the location of slimming world, mental health art groups, brownies, etcIt recently had a make over and is a clean, warm, smart, spacious venue

Very very welcoming, a mixed congregation with a varied age group. Small car park with off road parking. Very child friendly.

Beautiful old church. kinmoss group meets here every Tuesday from 9.30 to 2pm. A safe, comfortable place to cool out, drink tea and do activities

We held a children’s party here and not only was the venue superb but the people who run it could not have been kinder or more helpful- showing me round in advance, responding to my numerous emails and so on. We were allowed to drop a few things off after their Sunday service and the warmth of the atmosphere in there was palpable, the whole experience was so lovely, I would completely recommend it.

Great venue for things - Woodcraft Folk hold regular Thursday evening things. Three rooms to hire including a great kitchen area in main 'lobby' room, lino floor seats 30 comfortablly. Under floor heating throughout, large church hall carpeted (seats more than 250), great upstairs - smaller, more private with own sink and toilets, but still spacious for up to 40 people.

Friendly, fairly traditional church with a diverse congregation

I met some friends there, we had a good time. The church is very pretty, as you look up Poplar Rd & see it there at the top of the hill.
