Beautiful quiet sandy beach in reasonably sheltered bay. Small car park and clean public toilet block across the road from the beach.

Peaceful sandy beach with southerly aspect. Interesting to view the varying sizes, shapes and colours of the stones amassed at the top of the beach.

Quite exposed and windy when we visited but that took nothing away from the general experience. Adequate parking by the very well kept toilet block, and decent access to the beach for the able bodied. Ambulatory disabled people may get to the beach with time and care, or assistance, Not wheelchair accessible. Beautiful location. Great sand for the kids to play and build sandcastles. Banking covered in small and medium loose rocks/stones which is good fun for building cairns or cracking open for fossils.

One of Orkney's must see beaches. Visited mid September and effectively had the beach to ourselves. Excellent parking with super clean toilets (Council are amazing about this)

Bonnie wee beach not far from Hoxa Head. Plenty space to park, and public toilets close by.
