Rottingdean Beach
Lovely place to spend the day. The beach is mainly pebbles though. There are a couple of nearby car parks, a cafe situated on site, a few shops selling beach wares and a pub, that is currently renovation.

Obviously it's pebbly so rubber footwear essential however, a lovely congenial peaceful atmosphere prevailed, take a picnic, sea was warm, lots of people swimming loads of eateries, but parking needs to be found as it's awfully busy.

Very busy as it was a sunny day and a Sunday! The area near the beach where cars can park was deadly! People triple parked, people swarming everywhere (including me!), Police were dealing with a lost child incident so not interested in the near misses between cars and pedestrians. Find somewhere else to park (we didn't park near the beach). The beach needs better signage for where people with dogs can go. Other beaches have clear signage and asking people which park of the beach we could go on with our dog got the answer of people are just taking their dogs anywhere they want". Ended up finding a map online so we got to the correct part. People friendly though. A group of lads playing football on the walkway

less crowded than brighton, nice beach, rocky pools are fun for kids looking for crabs. there are two carparks next to the beach, very convenient.

This is a pebble beach but if you're going in the water then you'll get smooth sand under your feet if you go a little further out. The rock pools when the tides are out are also great for kids.

Not a bad beach, stayed on the stoney part brought down fold up chairs make this more comfortable. Further away some sandy parts of the beach still some stones rock pools when we walked around. Quite a hot day. When we got too hot went under the cover Story area. Nice to have a place to cool with kids. Visited a few months ago wanted to visit again and brought our kids. Fish and chips and a ice cream.

Rottingdean Beach
Pebble beach with breakwaters on either side made up of some lovely big rocks to sit on or climb on. Sheltered from the wind. There is a cafe and public toilets at the top of the beach.
