The exact level of service you expect to have. Property Formula were prompt with all communication. Fraser contacted me on the day of the survey to go over main points. The report is very clear. The whole process from start to finish was very efficient.

Unfortunately I would not recommended property formula to anyone. We recently instructed them for a home buyers surveys of a house we are purchasing, although they were the more expensive of the quotes we recieved we had been recommended them by our solicitors so decided to use them. Safe to say after they’d recieved our payment their customer service diminished. They never answered any of my calls, the report lacked any detail at all and quite frankly appeared as a copy and paste exercise, and when I asked for more information it took weeks to get a response. I have tried to deal with this privately but they still haven’t responded to my email for further clarifications on my report which ultimately delayed our move. I’ve recieved an extremely disappointing service and would suggest you look for another company if looking for a home buyers survey. (EDIT) The comment they have copied and pasted below was in response to an email I received from them over a week after I sent multiple emails and made multiple phone calls chasing a response. Their initial response said they couldn’t estimate costs for remedial works they have recommended, and I should contact someone else, only after I complained about this did they actually properly respond to my queries. Following that email I made multiple attempts to call the office (no one EVER answered) and sent further emails seeking photos evidence of the actions they picked up, no one ever replied to that email, this was back in August. Rather than apologise for their poor service they have attempted to cover their mistake with the below comment. Very disappointed.

I was recommended to use Property Formula and was not disappointed. Great service and communication from start to finish and they even arranged a 2nd visit due to access issues on 1st appointment.

I would wholehearted recommend Property Formula. They performed a Homebuyer Survey for us, and when we had some problems just before exchange Reuben helped us out of a sticky situation at very short notice with some excellent advice.

I chose Property Formula because it was recommended to me by my broker from South West mortgages. I was also thinking about other options, however, Property Formula was cheaper and also booked a survey for an earlier date than what the other surveyor was offering. Furthermore, after a cancellation, they have moved my survey forward by an additional two weeks which then meant that I could get from having my offer accepted to a completion in only 6 weeks!The report was very thorough and included actionable recommendations sorted by urgency. I was pleased with the state of the property but the report also uncovered some things I would have not noticed by myself. The report was understandable, I only needed to search for a few terms I was not familiar with. Thank you Fraser from Property Formula for contributing towards a smooth purchase of my house.
