Taaffes Castle
Fantastic place. Just back from a hen weekend for my sister. Staff are very welcoming and friendly,special shout out to Dean for looking after us, real gentleman. The door staff are very friendly & professional. The nightclub was fantastic, great music and atmosphere. Thanks for making our weekend so memorable.

Cracking wee pub, buttressing Taaffes castle. Friendly bar staff and a great pint of Guinness. Full of interesting nik naks from olden days. Food served tho didn't partake. Quirky and consequently Irish with a lovely , warm vibe.

Went in for a quick pint, it was a quiet day in December. It is a traditional Irish pub and absolutely loved the ambience. Will be back soon!

Went to order a round of drinks only to be told they don't take card..... barman suggested I use the 'inhouse atm' which no doubt charges for withdrawing money.... however I didn't have a card with me, I only had tap facility on my phone. Got the impression this was some sort of scam to get customers to use their atm.Left and went to PJs who along with all other bars in the town take tap on a phone.

Awesome place. Lots of history. Great ambiance. Large amount of draft beer choices. Food is offered as well. Ellen was a great host. Bar is built around a castle. Outstanding! Prices are slightly high, but it's worth the trip.

Went here for a Stag. Pizzas were from Lidl reduced Isle. I wouldn't serve them to my cat. Stags and Hens gallor, so avoid if looking for a quiet pint.

Bathrooms were an absolute train wreck! I asked a few times for to refill the hand soap and to clean the bathroom floor but it was ignored. I had to go across the road to buy hand soap in centra to use in the toilets. Floor was flooded all night. The staff were lovely but completely unaware of their surroundings.
