Most people on here giving low star reviews wouldn't recognise a good fish supper if it jumped up and bit them on the backside. The same goes for the old duffer talking smack about the restaurant on GB News. Ignore the haters. 10/10 top class restaurant.

Overall the food was nice. But I ordered online. Drive to collect. Drove home and the chips were missing. So by the time I drove back and home again my fish and prawns were cold.When I collected not so much a sorry. Was hard to even get someone’s attention. A portion of chips was basically thrown in a box and then at me without even asking is I wanted salt/vinegar and when I mentioned it he made it clear he was being inconvenienced.

I ordered from here using uber eats last week. I ordered chicken and chips. Omg the chicken was nasty. It tasted like Mackerel fish. It had definitely been fried in oil used to fry fish severally. It was also very greasy and dripping with oil. I was so hungry so managed to eat the chips but the chicken was awful. Had to throw it away.

Fish was lukewarm and chips weren't cooked properly. Even chips were soggy without the vinegar. This shop used to be okay.

Had many a meal from this store, but latest home delivery was a bit of a mixture, and not such a cheap one. Half roast chicken was very nice with plenty of meat, albeit a bit oily. But the chips were awful. Certainly not 'golden' in fact so anemic they looked barely cooked and almost all of it went in the bin. Know this place can do better, but with the cost of everything now days, can't afford to be throwing food away.

Ok so it was around 9pm, maybe closing time approaching, but no reason for serving cold RUBBISH chips to customers!!!! 4 large portions ended up in the bin!

Unfortunately the woman behind the counter was very rude to my husband. He stood there for 10 minutes in an empty shop before anyone behind the counter acknowledged him. When he dared to approach the counter for service the woman just barked at him; 'I've got 20 tickets here'. Not 'really sorry for the wait, what can I get you? as you would generally expect from any decent proprietor.He waited almost 25 mins for just one small bag of chips

Giving 2 starts not because of the food, as it was enjoyable, but because it's UNACCEPTABLE that we spent £25 for 2 regular portions of cod and chips. Businesses cannot do this to the consumers, they should go against those who created the current cost of living crisis. They choose to fight against the population instead, ridiculous. I will always leave negative feedback, or I'll boicotage eating out completely (I literally order take away once every 6 months anyway, and from now on will become 0!).
