Baron Wools

Absolutely appalling service. Went to the till to pay and the till-woman tutted and rolled her eyes at me due to me wanting to pay by card. It’s the bare minimum to just have a nice little smile and a little hi or something but no, none of it at all. I’d leave 0 stars if I could tbh

Would be nice if they had the correct open and closed times on here. Wasted an hour of my time travelling in the rain to find it closed an hour early with the correct hours on a small piece of paper stuck to the wall saying they close at 4. Thanks for the waste of time :)Also the one time I did go there the staff wasn’t the most friendly.Good selection of wool though.

Great place has all the colours off wool in this very tidy little shop as mum goes there very often for all kind of things button, needle wool of course and patterns.Craig

A crafters dream full of exciting possibilities. Great choice of yarns and plenty of expertise on offer. Also stock the little extras, ribbon, buttons, embroidery threads. If they don't have it they will get it for you. Superb

great range of yarns, ribbons, buttons, all sorts. some staff members friendlier than others. first time here I felt quite unwelcome. however second time the lady working was lovely :)

It's a shame this is the only wool shop for miles around now, as the staff are extremely hostile! I visited this week, as there's nowhere else, to get some yarn, and found the lady slightly less unfriendly than usual, but when I decided to buy fewer balls of yarn than she wanted me to, she became incredibly passive aggressive! 0 points for customer service". I'll be buying online in future."

They sell haberdashery, wool, knitting needles, patterns etc. Located on the ground floor which makes it easy for wheelchair users or pushchairs. Baron Wools is opposite a seating area and not to far from the toilets either. Prices are reasonable. Friendly and knowledge staff who can help you with what you need. Not many shops like these left anymore.

Every time I have been to this store there is a different person working there & to be honest they are all just as rude as each other. What disgusting service. When I asked for help with something one lady responded “we only have what’s there”, in no shape or form was she willing to help me look or offer any advice. Today, same thing, another rude middle aged woman with no understanding of what good customer service meant when all I asked for was a button. In times like this I am shocked that the people in this store have the luxury of being utterly revolting to their customers. If you can avoid these horrible ladies and take your money somewhere else I would definitely advise you do that. What a miserable bunch!

unfortunately, this is one of the places i get my knitting wools from and it’s very safe to say their customer service is horrible. nothing to write home about. they are very rude. i had confronted one of the staff and she could not say a word, rather, gave excuses. they have beautiful things but rather lack customer service.i thought it was a racial thing which could be but in today’s world??? pathetic!
