I commissioned John Bird to paint Doncaster Corn Exchange in about 2008. It is a wonderful painting and hangs pride of place on my living room wall now. A really nice man. Ex professional footballer and Manager. His gallery in Bawtry is well worth a visit. He displays other artists work as well as his own. As I said to him as I took my painting home this will be worth the £300 you charged me one day". We both laughed."
