Terrible shopping experience.I went in today (1st October 2023) and found several items out of date, one of which I bought and didn't realise until later. I don't mind shops selling some items that are past their 'Best Before' to save food waste if they separate them out, clearly label them and give a discount. But it feels really DISHONEST to sell so much out of date food on the shelves at full price. I've attached a few photos of what I saw in just one quick visit today. A few months ago I bought some out of date milk by mistake, which was unusable, and the response of Greens basically amounted to 'oopsies! won't happen again!' which a) it clearly is still happening, and b) they didn't offer any sort of refund or replacement.Greens is not an acceptable replacement for the old Co-op, which used to have an entire aisle dedicated to fresh fruit and veg. We were promised a shop that prioritised fresh local produce, but instead have one small fridge of fruit and veg which is always only half-stocked and provides a really limited range. The aisles are instead always full of gimmicky items like big boxes of sweets and expensive ready meals which are of little use to local people. I feel like Greens should focus on being a normal greengrocers that sells useful food items before starting to offer random stuff like a milkshake machine(?) and a slushie machine. It always feels like a really chaotic shopping experience with huge boxes of random stuff all over the shop and lots of temporary paper signs. The shop fittings look cheap and some have not been fitted properly so are wonky or damaged. The queueing system is awkward with the queues for the bakery counter and the tills being in the same place. There are also lots of nasty signs at the moment about shoplifting which makes it feel an unnerving place to be, including a ridiculous policy of not bringing backpacks or large bags inside. Not bringing BAGS to a SUPERMARKET? I understand there is a shoplifting problem but this feels ridiculous.Just an overall chaotic and overpriced place. I wish I didn't have to shop there but it's the closest place to my house and sometimes I don't have a lot of time to walk to the next nearest supermarket instead. It is not a suitable replacement for the old Co-op at all.

Overpriced and badly stocked for basic items. I popped into Greens to get some pods for my coffee machine. This is the sad selection of their teas and coffees. Not even proper ground coffee to be found. Previously I tried to get some vegetables and coriander, which they didn't stock at all. However if somebody fancies american sweets or overpriced Pret coffee from a coffee machines, they've got you covered. This was my last visit (I left empty handed anyway). I wish Tesco Express or even better Sainsbury's Local would have opened here instead of this travesty of a grocery store.

Hardly any vegan items at all. One vegan sausage roll and some huel seemed to be about it. When it was co-op there was vegan ice cream, vegan sandwiches, vegan chocolate, vegan yoghurt, vegan doughnuts. Where did it all go?

We love Greens! We are always greeted with a smile at every store. Greens of Dundee is no different. Massive variety of stock - vapes and food to go especially; friendly staff, and a very very cool American beer cave!A massive improvement to the old coop. Will be doing my weekly shop from here.

Fantastic. Michael, who was actually finished for the day, spent 10 minutes helping me. He was AWESOME. You are very lucky to have such a conscientious, helpful and kindly staff member.

Overpriced, Understocked and full of gimmicks is the only way to describe this store...This store sold the false image on opening that it's a local shop full of fresh local ingredients sourced from the surrounding areas. In reality their 'fresh' fruit and veg section is a total of one 12ft fridge which is either empty or contains produce that looks like it was wrapped in plastic and left to sit for 3 weeks to sweat before being put out.As part of the refurb this store removed full isles worth of affordable and fresh food and has replaced them with a beer cave, a vape station, a pretend bakery, a 'hot food' station. a slushy machine, juicing machines, coffee machines and ice cream. GIMMICKS!locals simply cannot rely on this store for any form of food anymore as more often than not the shelf you were looking for will be empty when you get there, I don't even waste time going in for something as simple as milk anymore..This store took something functional, practical and useful out of the local community and replaced it with garbage... If its still in business this time next year I'll be amazed.they've made the place look good for pictures and seem to have forgotten its a shop

Took 10 beer kegs on a return at £5 credit each with no fuss. 3 new kegs purchased same day from the beer cave. Service with a smile and helped back out to car with kegs. Thank you!

First and last time using today. Bought 3 items £7.57. Handed my co-op card (I didn't realise it was no longer a co-op as full of co-op items). Anyway, handed over a £10 note and got told did not have change to give me. Assistant looked a bit confused at getting cash. I asked what she wanted me to do and was told again she had no change of £10 in the tils. I emptied my carrier bag and said I would get elsewhere. Another assistant came over and the 2 scrambled about in 2 tils to get my change. Absolutely ridiculous. Meanwhile a long queue forming behind me.

Bad set up, the queue passes the entrance, very expensive for this area. It doesn't open at 6 am either so forget that. If you want a 4 inch cake squashed to a 2 inch cake this is the place to go.

I live local to the store. I really want to be able support local but I'm very disappointed. I'll list why:- I went in for some Cooks ready meals but there was very little stock (so I didn't buy any)- Several items I was interested in had no price, e.g. bubble tea (so I didn't buy any)- General hygiene was low; the floors were filthy as were the cabinets where the pies/cakes are kept- Most of the cakes didn't even have a labelI felt like the shop was actively discouraging me from parting with my money. I'd have spent several times more had my experience been better. On the plus side, the staff seemed nice.
