Absolutely lovely place if you want to wind down and relax. The owners offer a few activities including felt and bread making classes, and a walk to Holy Island, which are fantastic. There's a washer/dryer in some (all?) of the units and a clothesline to dry clothing. There are chickens and birds roaming the area, and lots of beautiful gardens to sit out and enjoy. There is plenty of parking. We stayed in Skylark Cottage which was lovely and had 3 bedrooms. The water pressure in the shower wasn't very strong, but it worked fine and we always had hot water. This is pretty far into the countryside so if you want to be mobile, you'll want to bring a car. You can't really walk to restaurants or grocery stores easily, but they're maybe a 10-20 min drive.I liked the location a lot. The area is beautiful and rural, but there are a lot of places to visit within a 30-45 min drive. There are so many cute towns nearby (I didn't see a town that wasn't gorgeous). Lots of wildlife (hare, deer, pigeon, pheasants).I didn't have nearly enough time to go everywhere I wanted, but I went to Alnwick Castle and Gardens (about 40 min drive) which was great. I'm also going to Swinhoe farm to horse ride on my way back to Edinburgh for my flight. If you want to avoid driving and just relax here, it's possible. The owners can provide breakfast and cake for an additional fee, and the local grocery will deliver. But you won't get to do as much touristy stuff if you're coming for that purpose. I'm from America and had a 4 day training down the street at Turnabout Pegasus so I wanted to do tourist stuff on my days off.So we stayed at the Skylark Cottage which was awesome- all of those similar looking cottages are attached to each other. I took pics of the treehouse though because I'd LOVE to stay there on my next visit. It's so much fun! There's also a small boxcar-like room that's available but doesn't have an attached bathroom (there is a bathroom you can walk to). I found it reminiscent of the Box Car Children books and I would totally rent it for my kids. They would enjoy that.

As a family we decided to make the most of our holiday and learn a new skill…bread making :-)Harvest and Dave provided an amazing environment to teach us how to be confident and relaxed when baking. Their knowledge and willingness to share is exceptional. We wholeheartedly enjoyed the class, it was well structured and timed perfectly. Allowing us to make a range of breads to suite all. Topped off by a nice homemade lunch and taking away our beautiful home bread.I can highly recommend the bread making class for anyone and everyone.Thank you and we look forward to making lots of bread in the future…Coldwell family :-)

Last weekend we went to Engeland because my husband set up a surpriseweekend for me.We stayed at the cosy Lavercock Law tiny house in the garden. We had some problems with our flight and rental car so we had to call them a lot for changes. Harvest and Dave, the hosts, were super friendly and helpfull. Our sleepingspot was in the back of the garden. A little house on weels with a nice view at the fields were you can spot deers and hazes. They made us a vegan surprisebreakfast: cakes, plantbased mild and saucages, homemade bread, homemade jam, fruits from the garden...it was delicious. We were spoiled.I recommend staying here! Harvest and Dave make you feel at home!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The owners, Harvest and Dave, are friendly and welcoming. If you want to get away from it all then this is the place - you've likely never experienced quietness or darkness like it! Yet it's still easy to get to wherever you wish to visit in Northumberland with 20-40 minutes' drive. We already miss the place and will definitely return.
