Nate Cordery

Myself and wife wife had the pleasure of looking round Nate’s studio space last week, a wonderful studio he shares with other artists. Nate paints stunning landscapes and seascapes, some brooding and powerful, others serene and expansive. He has an amazing eye for colour and mood. We brought a beautiful seascape called “Winter Solstice” which looks amazing in our bedroom, I’m enchanted by it. Nate is lovely, very friendly and generous with his time. I encourage any art lover to visit his space!

Lovely studio on the seafront, beautiful painting that mesmerises me. Hand delivered by Nate - recommend him and the work of Laura Callaghan (also at the Open Studios) - both capture the moods and emotions of the sea - that make my heart stir :)

Nate is not only a phenomenally talented artist but he is also a genuinely thoroughly nice guy! I absolutely LOVE his work and am already eyeing up another piece to purchase as soon as I can.His workshop or gallery, which is a bit of both in fairness, is situated in an enviable position smack bang on the beach front and as such a great many of his pieces are Brighton themed and as a lover of Brighton that is just perfect for me!My very first piece from Nate is an iconic 'daylight' scene towards the pier and is just lovely but whilst I was in town that very same day I managed to capture a stunning unfiltered photograph of probably one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen and I took the photo back in to Nate in his premises and commissioned him to paint it for me. The photograph, as you can see, is quite dark and just 'pops' as a screensaver on my mobile phone but with the talented Nate brightening (no pun intended) up his painted version - I think you will agree, the piece is just as stunning as the photograph and now sits pride of place in my living room.Recommending Nate as your go-to artist on the Brighton sea front is the easiest recommendation I have ever made because put simply, his art literally speaks for itself and plus he is an absolute gentleman!I highly recommend you pay him a visit.

We will be purchasing more from Nate! We purchased 2 pieces of his work and during our interactions with him we asked if he does commission work. I had been looking for just the right artist to paint our beloved mother who recently passed away. We trusted him with the task and he did not disappoint. The paintings are beautiful. They capture the essence of my Mom perfectly. Nate, thank you! We couldn’t be more pleased!

Absolutely love the two paintings we bought from Nate.We were just wandering along the Brighton seafront and popped into The Open Studio for a look around and were immediately taken by one of Nate's pieces. It reminded me of a Jackson Pollock and then when I found out the piece was called A Load of Pollocks it felt like kismet! It really feels like the piece should be in a gallery rather than hanging in my hallway! Both paintings are so layered and complex and we notice something new about them every time we look at them.Nate was really friendly and welcoming and made us feel at ease it the studio. Will definitely be purchasing more of his paintings.

A treasure trove of stunningly beautiful original art, prints and cards. The Open Studios are easily accessible from the seafront/beach and a visit here will not disappoint. There was a wide variety of beautiful paintings on display including iconic Brighton pieces, amazing seascapes, sunsets, landscapes and amazing blossom. We also had the opportunity to see Nate (the artist) at work on his latest piece. He was absolutely delightful and “no hard sell” but it was great to hear about the paintings directly from the artist. We were absolutely delighted with our purchases and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend a visit here.

I absolutely love Nate’s work. I recently bought two of his Brighton beach paintings which are looking great I’m my flat. Nate is a pleasure to meet as well. I highly recommend popping into the gallery at the very least.

We visited studios and met Nate. My sister and I bought two paintings. Made special by meeting the artist from Yorkshire. Go see him his work is amazing. Studio fantastic location. Can't stop staring at the painting and notice something different each time we do.

I would recommend anyone to take a look at Nate's wonderful artworks in his studio just off the seafront. It feels great to buy from a local, hard working artist. Nate has a great selection of work in oils and will happily take commissions. The whole process of commissioning a painting, discussing colours and composition and taking the painting on trial worked brilliantly as Nate is so good to deal with. I was more than happy to keep the finished picture and it now sits in pride of place in my lounge
