Alsager Animals In Need
Me and my partner went to see a cat at its foster home this morning with a lovely couple before you think I’m coming for them! They were brill. We had a great time with the cat and the couple even posted how well the cat did with us and interacted! I called up to ask how long we have to decide as my partner had to go work. I had a very rude conversation with Hilary on the phone saying how they don’t think we are suitable now. All because I asked questions about a collar and harness and even said our last cat did not have a collar. She spoke to me like I was a child and I had to stand my ground very much so to say I only asked questions…how else are we supposed to know the correct things for this cat. I mean the flat this cat has been staying in for about a month was as hot as a greenhouse even with fans and tiny! I can’t believe they’ve allowed it to stay there! They even had to take it to the vets for suspected heatstroke which is no fault of the fosterers they love this cat! And would keep if possible. But it bemuses me how asking some questions makes us unsuitable for this cat yet it is living in a very unsuitable place! We had an adopted cat previously with cats protection with a troubled background and I have grown up all my life with a range of animals! I did stand my ground and left her very bemused as what to do and I will be contacted later today apparently. But in my eyes unfortunately now for this lovely cat I don’t want to adopt from them! They’ve not even met me or my partner and are making assumptions about us that are not true.

Lisa and Hilary were fabulous after ringing me back today when I asked if they could help with a temporary foster home for a family members elderly dog , due to her owner being unwell .Lisa and Hilary worked hard to find a suitable foster carer and kept in touch throughout the day , despite having lots to do themselves in their personal lives . Having this support enables a person who isn't well tohave time to recover and have a chance to then be reunited with their pet . What an amazing charity and also amazing foster families who volunteer to help out xxx You are very special indeed ❤️

Very professional, and thorough to make sure the animal you adopt is right for you. Showing that they really do care about the animals in their care

We got our 2 beautiful kittens from here and they were fantastic throughout the process. You can tell by talking to them how much they truly care for the animals and they have checked in multiple times since to make sure everything is OK. If you're considering adding a furry friend to your family look no further. Highly recommended for any animal lovers out there.

Absolutely amazing rescue! Lisa is so kind, and I have rarely met anyone who cares so much about the cats and their wellbeing! We have fostered a couple of times for them now and it has been a great experience. They pay for everything, and all they want back is the occasional update, and for you to love and care for the cats as much as they do.I see a few reviews on here leaving a negative impression on Lisa and the rescue, but many of these reviews come from a place of childish resentment after people haven't got what they wanted. This is because this rescue genuinely cares. They don't take any chances with re-homing their kittens or cats. If you come here, don't feel like you are entitled to a cat just because you can afford it. Your home may not be suitable in the eyes of the rescue, but know that it comes from a place of care and love for the cats.

We got our beautiful kitten from here and so glad we did. They are the loveliest people to deal with, all the checks are done properly and quickly. They are very loving and made the adoption a breeze. Now we have our family complete x highly recommend

For some reason I’ve been blocked from their page on Facebook. Probably for asking why they won’t rehome cats as indoor cats, so many cats could have loving homes as indoor cats but they only rehome cats to people who live on quiet roads so they can go outdoors. You’d think with the amount of cats that need homes they wouldn’t be that fussy. My cat is indoors only and has an amazing life and doesn’t want to go outside. Makes no sense!

They are a great caring organisation, we are fostering a lovely dog they kindly rescued, they have covered the cost of the extensive treatment she needed after being so cruelty treated by previous owner. Look on their site and find Poppy, they are really amazing. Please support this charity, who's members are all volunteers.

I am a fosterer for Alsager’s Animals In Need and have adopted one of their cats myself. Lisa, Hilary and all the volunteers have the animals best interests at heart. They are vigilant, and rightly so for the sake of the animals who have no voice of their own. They never want to find an animal back on their doorstep, missing, or deceased on a busy road due to overlooking unsuitable homes and owners. My experience has been nothing short of rewarding and amazing. The rescue pays for everything and all I have to do is love and care for the cats, provide updates/communicate and arrange meetings for potential owners. At times the rescue does say no to homes they believe to be unsuitable but this out of love and care for the animals. There are several negative reviews on here from bitter, immature, spiteful, and entitled people who do not agree with with the rescues’ beliefs or have not gotten what they wanted, so instead have taken to google to bash these wonderful people who put so much care, effort and time from their lives at their own expenses to ensure the animals are well taken care of and have the homes they deserve. At times volunteers, especially Lisa and Hilary, are subject to verbal abuse and threats by such people, but if that is how they treat people who knows what kind of home an animal would be going into if the rescue said yes to any one of those people. The volunteers are passionate about what they do and have many years of experience.Overall would highly recommend adopting and fostering from Alsagers. They are very supportive, have loads of great advice and love updates even after you’ve taken your furry friends home.
