My husband had high hopes from gazing at your window to see two life size terminator and predator but when entering the shop, he was met with a whole room of Harry potter. It's now been four days since we have left Edinburgh and he is still traumatised by the experience.

Reasonable geek shop, bit too pricey for me, personally only because anything I saw while I liked and thought was cool" wasn't really something I'd ever use or care for again after purchase.2 stars because my partner wanted us to go in but she ended up feeling unwelcome upon entry.Like nothing (outside that one suppliers worth of Harry Potter Stuff) was really worth a looking for her."

No matter the occasion this shop always has a lot to offer, whether it be for a present or a personal collection. Atmosphere is fantastic, neatly sectioned off to cater for major fandoms ranging from Harry Potter to Marvel and more! Lovely staff that are always on hand to help and share their amazing geek knowledge. 100% worth the experience and shopping spree.

Got conned!! Price sticker said £7, got to till and was told £7.99. Rude customer service. Overpriced. Avoid!!!

A more focused fandom shop maybe than the Forbidden Planet just a few doors down the road, Galaxy caters to a host of geek needs, from Harry Potter to Marvel to Star Wars to Pusheen. Amusingly, each section plays music specific to the fandom, so it's possible to get caught in a Philosopher's Stone/Avengers/Attack of the Clones mash-up. It's all a bit overwhelming, but a great place to scratch that nerdy itch.

Called in to the store while in Edinburgh on a trip. Honestly it was one of the most fun shopping experiences I've ever had. The staff are so friendly.If you are into geeky stuff like Harry potter, lord of the rings, anime etc this is the best shop in the city hands down.

Dear Management, please read this and look into this staffing issue. Rude staff, no customer service and implying one could have swapped out price tags. Walked in looking for toddler pants as my son had an accident. They had 2 Mickey Mouse joggers. A young woman sales associate who was very nice helped me find these and mentioned it was 20 pounds when I asked for price. I left the store wanting to look for other options but then came back 5 mins later as I wanted it quite urgently and couldn’t find anything nearby. There was a different second store associate helping me bill who mentioned it was 34 pounds when it was time to pay and I showed him the tag as well as mentioned that the previous sales associate had mentioned it was 20 pounds. The label on one did say 20 pounds for size 3-4 and said 34 pounds for size 5-6. His validation was that the price was different cause of the size, which is reasonable. The pants measured exactly the same size despite the label on the pants which made me feel there was some error. The store associate behind the counter asked for help from another associate (with a beard) who was very rude to this sales associate. I can’t believe speaking with an employee with the demeaning attitude. Later, the associate (with the beard) took over and said people switch out tags looking at me like I did something? I even told him to speak with his associate who helped me the first time as she also mentioned the price was 20 pounds if it’s a question of trusting me. Overall such a bad experience, rude staff (with the beard). He didn’t seem to care whether he sold me the pants and couldn’t even accept that the error in sizing.
