Ba Tam food

Really good home style food, and clearly there’s a lot of love gone into the food. Got the roast chicken and rice with bean stew (soup) and it was delicious. Chicken was super juicy and tender and the skin was super flavourful too. The rice was addicting.Only reason it isn’t 5 stars is the lack of salt in the chicken and rice. That would’ve taken this meal to another level and me salting the food after it was served just isn’t the same.Go support these really nice people.

Stumbled on this cafe by chance, and was intrigued as my friend and I had never tried Kurdish food.We received a warm and friendly welcome and both explanations of unfamiliar food and recommendations for what we might like to eat.I opted for the special plate (a bit of everything), and the spring onion bread with date syrup (the exact name evades me unfortunately). The food has a real home-cooked feel to it and was fresh, delicious, and varied. Not a single part of my plate was anything other than excellent and my friend said much the same thing.It is also excellent value; the large plate in the photo below was £8 (!) and I ended up taking about as much home to eat as I had in the cafe itself.I will definitely be back to try more dishes. Highly recommended.

One of the best places I have been for food! It is fresh and delicious, also for vegetarians! Very warm staff, hospitable atmosphere, it feels like your family prepares the food for you!

Visited this hidden gem today and had a lovely lunch. The kuba were especially tasty and the owners gave us various other things to sample. Will certainly be back and would highly recommend visiting!

Our first time eating from Ba Tam and we'll definitely be back. Lovely friendly staff, delicious range of food - we had 4 dishes and all were excellent, taste and texture perfect.

This was my first time having Kurdish food, and it was very good. We had the rice, chicken, and soup and it was all delicious. It did need a bit more salt than it was served with to bring out the other flavours in the dish, but no complaints other than that. The staff were lovely as well and I'd definitely be back again!

Fresh food with a reasonable price and most polite staff. Really enjoyed a lot, hoping to try many more dishes of theirs.
