Riverbanc Cafe & Hotel

It is a great hotel. Room was clean, welcoming, just like on the pictures. Had a view onto the river. It was quiet. Comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was one of the best we ever had!!!! Lots of activities. Excellent website to local activities, advice on eating out, easy access and clear to navigate.Very modern in terms of accessing hotel and rooms with a code.The only thing I would add is to emphasise that you will need the code to get in even for the first time. We got there just after 5 and were out all day, my phone was on his last bar and I didn’t note down the access codes before hand.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Easy check in with presupplied codes to get through the side gate and into the rooms. The rooms were lovely; fresh, gently decorated, some lovely touches like packet of fresh coffee and cafetiere. We stayed in the family room with a bunk bed over a king bed - so much fun! Our son loved the bunk and it really made the most of the space. The beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows supplied. Bathroom was nice, decent shower. Pretty view over the river - we watched people kayaking in really rough weather!The breakfast - oh my!! Really didn't expect it to be so good. As a resident you have a choice of main with hot drink and orange/apple juice. I went for the veggie stacked - delicious!! We also had waffles which looked so tasty and I was told numerous times how good they were! Huge selection of fresh coffees, got to try types I've never had before.There's a fantastic pergola/decking area out the back that even on a sunny day in autumn you could sit with a hot drink as its covered and enjoy watching the kayakers paddle by! We'll definitely be back, thank you.

the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The coffee was favourable and fresh. The decor was warm with reused wood for the furniture and the outside balcony overlooking the river was fabulous. Definitely recommend. Great location and delicious coffee.

We stayed two nights at the Riverbanc in a family room with our children (9&13). The location was perfect (right in the centre of the town) the room was large and clean. Breakfast in the cafe below was great and my daughter particularly enjoyed the waffles! Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely little hotel in an attractive town. Big comfortable beds. Bathroom stank when we arrived but just needed an air out. Café music way too loud for breakfast (heard it in our room at 8AM!) - not sure who wants pumping beats with their coffee and eggs but maybe some do... Parking impossible so use one of the local car parks.

We had a lovely stay at the weekend when visiting friends and the room was lovely. Decor was very clean and calming and very comfortable for the four of us. Breakfast the next morning was amazing and one of the best I've had. Ali couldn't have been more kind and accommodating, especially with dietary needs, and with 2 cheeky little monkeys with us that was very welcome! We were made to feel very welcome. The vibe of the cafe is fab and has a great outdoor decking area to watch the hurtling river go by, and the decor of the place is great, even down to the toilet...a sign of a classy spot in my opinion! Lovely

Stayed here with my 2 kids (7 and 5). It is a lovely hotel and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for us and very nicely decorated. The view is stunning of the river. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice and very filling. The whole stay was extremely good value for money and I would highly recommend this hotel. Definitely one to go back to! Thank you.

It's our local cafe so haven't stayed. Great food, friendly safe, reasonably priced. The decking overlooking the river is popular. Good coffee for those who need the real thing or there's alternates like beetroot latte.
