PURE Spa & Beauty (Rose Street)

Staff are really welcoming, friendly and cater to all your needs. I had a facial which included a salt scrub, face mask, various serums and a brief but relaxing head massage. The facilities are good with private rooms for your treatment to take part in. Overall it was an excellent experience and I recommend to anyone wanting some skin care.

Went here as it was one of the only salons open on Sunday late afternoon. The attendant was kind and nice to talk to but she cut my fingers twice trying to remove my cuticles — not the best if you ask me. The manicure wasn’t really all that great with the gel polish application, it’s a bit streaky. Unfortunately I won’t be returning.

Whatchout! I have been waiting weeks for a refund from this company. Their website allows paid bookings on Saturday, when I showed up to the appointment the business was closed and google says is typically closed on Saturdays. I have phoned and emailed several times to no avail. I have only been ignored which leads me to think this is a scam company at most and shady practices at least. Save your money!

Appalling experience, very unprofessional. Booked a package with Pure Spa and got cancelled just a couple of hours before the appointment. This was very disappointing as even my partner had taken the day off to take care of the children. We had also taken the train to Edinburgh for the treatment. Tried to call them and after waiting on the call queue for 20 minutes they put me through to the answer machine. I am really disappointed and would not recommend this place.

I received a facial from Sally and can honestly say it's one of the best I've ever had. Everyone at the spa is so friendly and welcoming. Sally was so accommodating and managed to fit me in last minute. When I arrived she made me feel at ease straight away. The facial was amazing, I felt so relaxed and pampered and my skin feels great after it! Will definitely be back to visit Sally :)

Waited over an hour for my pedicure appointment to start and then didn't receive the full service I paid for. I booked and paid for the Tranquil service but received the Essential one.After waiting an hour, the pedicure was absolutely not worth my time or money. The water in the tub was almost at room temperature when it started and was cold by the end. They had no quick dry products or fans meaning I had to wait with my feet out in a cold room for the polish to dry during winter in Scotland. The lady told me it'd be dry after 10/15 minutes which I knew wasn't true, but she waited around as if I was taking too long so I put my shoes on and left. Obviously the polish was smudged by the time I got home.I was in touch with the manager after she read my online feedback as nobody in the spa seemed to be bothered by me waiting over an hour. I also asked the lady if I received the Tranquil service before I left and she said I did... I wasn't even asking for the full refund (literally just a £10 difference) but apparently being refunded for services I didn't receive is still too much to ask for as I didn't hear from her when she said she would call, followed up and was told she was out of office and would get back to me the next day, but never heard from her again. I thought I could get in touch with the customer service email on their website, but still nothing. My appointment was almost 2 weeks ago so they've probably figured if they leave it long enough, I'll stop bothering them. By far the worst customer experience I have received.

I have so far tried two services at two different locations and the quote that says not everything expensive is efficient nor perfect is quite true The first service was in Rose Street branch for eyelash extension. Eventhough the technician was polite and quite hospitable but the skills used for this service was not top notch. I paid a hefty price assuming high quality application of eyelash extensions and the outcome was average to bad. By the next day the lashes started falling apart next branch was ar Lothain Road for a classic facial and it was an experience I will never repeat with Pure Spa. That is sad indeed.

I waited for 1 hour and didn't receive any treatment, although they said wait, we have availability. Not gonna happen again

Booked appointment online. Arrived 15 minutes before appointment. No one on reception. Stood there for 10 minutes, until I walked up the stairs. Stood getting no acknowledgement from the beautician. When she had finished one client she moved onto the next and then acknowledged me. I told her I was here for my appointment. She told me they were fully booked and to have a seat. She proceeded to continue what she was doing leaving me sit there for a whole 30 minutes. This would have potentially been longer but one client had tried to leave and the door was locked so she had to go down to open it and told me to go with her. I gave her all my details and requested a refund. She informed me I would have to go back to the online service to get it. I said previously the saloon did this but she said she couldn't do this. Her short, annoyed and rude manner towards me was the worse I have experienced as a companies potential customer. It has put me completely off this intire brand. 45 minutes after arrival I left, a whole 5 minutes (being generous) on interaction with a staff member is disgusting.
