Excellent service and very friendly staff. I was on my way to a job interview and the sole fell off my shoe. I was very close to this shop, so I popped in to ask if there was anything they could quickly as my interview was soon to start. They gave them a quick fix of glue to last the afternoon and I could go into my job interview relaxed and confident. And I got the job!100% recommend them to everyone and anyone who needs the services you can expect to find from a Timpsons. Including helping stressed-out ladies limping around with one shoe on.

I came in with a set of house keys, bikes keys, and strongbox keys. They were able to tell me straight away which ones were feasible to cut and which one (a round-barrelled key for a new D-lock) would need to go to a specialist (and gave me recommendations for that specialist).However, they decided to take up the challenge of copying a very new integrated bike lock key themselves. Repurposing a car key (!) and heading out personally to check that each copy worked, they performed a minor miracle! :D And they made the second set of keys half-price. What absolute stars!

Brilliant repairers - friendly and helpful too. If you've read John Timpson's book about the history of his business (NB it's a good read!), you'll see he name checks the other branch of Timpsons in Cambridge as one of his best shops. I must admit I've used both and the Lion's yard branch is, IMHO, even better!

Brought a leather bag in to be repaired. The man behind the counter had thick black grease all over his hands and before I realized what was happening, he took the bag from me. It is now covered with spots of grease that will never come out. I wish I had never walked into this shop!

Great, friendly service. I went in wondering whether they could punch holes in a leather belt I have, and they did, and didn't charge anything for it! (I was expecting to pay something, even though it was a very fast process - but no.)

I walked in to get my watch strap repaired, and within 5 mins I was out again with a fixed watch. Nice and simple
