Very poor experience from a ‘design’ visit, which we waited some weeks for. ‘Designer’ turned up, looked at the walk-in wardrobe space, said “well, it’s a rather small space” (it holds 6 double wardrobes worth, so I’m not sure what they’re normally dealing with if NJ are turning their noses up at this size of project…) and from then on seemed totally uninterested. Rather than ‘design’ anything she just asked us what we wanted and where. Didn’t seem able to cope with being asked to come up with a design that would maximise the space having seen what we needed to store. The designer then said they would follow up with a proposed design and cost that day. Late the following day we received an email that simply said “the starting cost would be X, depending on what you want” (I’m paraphrasing, but barely) and could we confirm if we were ok with that. No design, and a cost that had clearly taken 5 minutes to come up with and could have been given over the phone based on the volume of wardrobes the space could hold. All in all so, so disappointing. We’ve used Sharps before for fitted furniture and were looking at NJ for this project as we wanted it to be truly bespoke and top quality. Service on the ‘design’ visit was sub-Sharps level, and doesn’t leave us with any faith that we’d be getting a superior product. Wouldn’t recommend.

I just felt it was appropriate to write to you about our excellent experience we had in the Wigmore Street showroom yesterday.Jonathan is doing an excellent job designing some furniture for us and recommended we visit the showroom to assist with the specific detailing, and to choose the colours we liked.Serge was on duty yesterday and we were simply blown away by his calm kindness, patience, keen eye for detail and made us feel like we were the only clients he had to worry about yesterday. It was a simply exceptional experience and you should be very proud of him - and your other staff; if his is the standard you hold each other to.Thank you for making our daunting day just a little bit special.

Amazing standardsAmazing customer service from start to finish. We had a new staircase fitted by John and he is the best tradesman we have ever seen. The attention to detail and commitment to the job and company was first class. We are so happy with our new staircase. It’s top end, premium and could easily be ruined by a bad fitter. After successfully ordering bedroom furniture from our local Neville Johnson designer earlier this year (via Gerrards Cross), we had a few niggly doubts later on about some of our original choices, such as wardrobe interiors and door handles etc.Due to convenience, we popped into the Wigmore Street showroom and found the staff very welcoming, in particular Serge, who showed us all the samples again and gave us extensive advice and support with our order. Nothing seemed too much trouble and we have returned a few times since, when matching accessories or simply to have a chat with Serge and ask his opinion about somethingNV also have some amazing kitchens upstairs, which are probably beyond our budget, but Serge always takes the time to show us around and discuss our design plans for the future.The surveyor, Les Perry, was also brilliant and we were able to make some additions and further changes to the design.So far so good! Let’s hope it all arrives on time now!

We had Neville Johnson do our master bedroom cupboards. The salesman, John came to see us was absolutely amazing. During our chat he designed everything and drew it all out on the spot with his equipment. He was very prepared and had samples with him so we were able to work it all out in one visit. Absolutely amazing performance.

I really disappointed by our recent experience with Neville Johnson. We ordered a small library at the end of October and due to a back log in work it was agreed it would be delivered 13th March. The designer Simon was amazing, the guys who came to fit it were fine but after two days of fitting we discovered that one side of the shelving was glossed and the other Matt and that sometimes it was the upper facing and others the lower. Complete lack of quality control at the factory. They decided to take it all down and send it back to the factory. Despite it being completely their fault they are not rushing to supply and refit. and we are left with a large empty space in our house which we had cleared out for the fitting.Shocking customer service when something goes wrong with nobody getting back to us when they say they will and constant chasing on our part.We had used them extensively before in a previous house and at that time they were 5*, unfortunately they seem to have become to big to care. Shame!!!

Waste of time. Just bombarded me with email spam but incapable of returning a call or email to make an appointment.Life's too short to waste on these losersL

What a fantastic experience! We've been fitting out a couple of flats and so we've been to a few different furniture showrooms over the last month, but this place was easily the best. Great bespoke pieces and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We would recommend Neville Johnson to anyone looking for high quality furniture.

Serge received us half an hour before closing time and was absolutely phenomenal. He stayed late and was clearly excited with our project. His level of knowledge and cordiality was simply impeccable.He was kind enough to provide us with an incredible introduction regarding styles that helped us understanding better what to look for when comparing different options.Following that we discussed finishing options and Serge once more was wonderful. He was insightful, not to mention his great taste.I couldn't be happier with our experience. Top notch!Serge is a keeper.

excellent furniture, dreadful aftercare!We scratched a door less than a year after installation, 3 calls and 3 emails later... still no response in 3 weeks!
