Moordown Medical Centre

The whole family have been registered with the practice for over 5 years and we have never had a bad experience. The reception staff are always friendly and helpful. I’m always amazed at how quickly the phones are answered and appointments or triages arranged. The GPs and nurses are phenomenal, knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. Referrals are always made quickly and appropriately. Often use the E-consult service and get very prompt responses and clear plans. Cannot fault this practice. Fantastic service. Thank you!

I have been a patient at this practice for many years and have always received exemplary treatment from all the receptionists and Doctors alike. The district nurses based at this practice visited my elderly Aunt whilst she resided with me and they could not have been kinder. I have the highest regard for all persons working at this surgery and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Great GP surgery. Receptionists are always helpful and friendly when I phone.If a same day appointment is needed always offered phone appointment.All the staff do a fantastic job considering all the struggles they are faced with!

Absolutely the worst receptionist on the planet. Every time I speak to any of them, I am completely gob smacked how rude they are. Never helpful, when you try to explain anything to them you simply get told to stop having ago at them even when your being polite. Now the doctors. Missed diagnosed me for years. Finally saw a visiting doctor who realized what's wrong straight away. Unfortunately I then had to go back to seeing the regular doctors. And things when down hill again. Waiting to have surgery but this surgery is holding it all up. Waiting to have test that SHOULD have already been done. Living in agony because of these useless doctors. Wouldn't recommend this medical center to my worst enemy. Moving ASAP. Would recommend people to look elsewhere. On a good note, the nurse is nice.

I have used MMC for the last four years, infrequent use mainly for two children. The reception staff have been professional, friendly and polite. The doctors and nurse practitioners have also been great.The NHS is under considerable pressure but it is clear that MMC are doing their best for their patients. Thank you

I had a heart scare on Holiday and I decided to phone the Surgery so I could get in asap when I came home, but all the Receptionist could offer me was a telephone appointment 4 weeks later!!. I waited for the phone call and nothing!, absolutely disgusted with the service provided. I will be contacting the Manager to let him know exactly what has happened and whether he finds this acceptable!!.I am completely losing faith with the NHS service and I am getting to the stage where I would rather spend my own money to actually see someone when I have a problem.

Literally the worst doctors surgery ever! I had been going to this doctors since I was a nipper (as it used to be on my road). However, when Dr Barker & Dr Rogers in particular both left the entire practice went down hill. The receptionist staff are worse than the ‘usual’ rude ones.I had to raise a complaint to NHS England about them, due to them recording on my medical records I had cancer..which I didn’t. It was another women’s records noted on my own. I only found this out after requesting and paying 50p per sheet for my notes. I hope the lady who did have cancer was told…when raising this they simply blamed the process of switching from paper records to computerised records. They funnily enough refunded me half of my money on the records.I quickly changed practises and the ones I’m at now are so friendly and helpful, I would never go back to Moordown Medical - future house moves are based on doctors surgeries now.

Been with them for a couple years and found them really good. Surprised by all the 1 star reviews which is the opposite or how I've found this surgery.I have seen a few of the doctors here and most are fairly helpful and I dont feel rushed out like I use to at my previous surgery.The online portal is great too as they provide you with details and always give you an appointment after a couple days to be on the safe side.Parking may be the only downside as while a decent amount of spaces can fill up quickly sometimes.

I am in the process of transferring to this gp. I am on repeat medication and with transferring I have nearly run out! My old gp refused to send an electronic prescription to me even though I am technically still registered there. But thank you so much to the reception team at Moordown who helped me so much and have managed to help me register and be in the process of getting my medication. I cannot thank you enough! I have had such an emotional morning trying to sort this and I thought I would be stuffed…I am so thankful for this team!!! THANK YOU!! You are so kind and considerate! I have had to change gp’s a few times due to University and this is by far my best, most communicative and friendly gp I have experienced.
