The hotel staff were very lovely on arrival and it was nice to have that smiling face and efficient service. The rooms were clean, quiet and good sizes.Although the location of the hotel is behind a services that is closed down, that's no fault of the hotel and it was easy to find. The views at the back of the hotel are lovely woodland.Would recommend if you just need a night to stop over.

This review is not about the hotel itself but the staff. Tonight (8/12/23)myself and my toddler was towed to the travellodge due to my clutch going just before I took the M1 exit. The receptionist this evening Dan was incredible. He allowed me to charge my phone offered us drinks, use of the toilets. He played and distracted my 2 year old while I was on the phone to the RAC. I honestly cannot thank him enough, as my little boy thought he was amazing. We was in reception for 4 hours and nothing was too much trouble.Thank you Dan you’re a star.

I recently stayed at this hotel and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. What made my stay especially memorable was the outstanding service, particularly from Karen. She was incredibly helpful and kind, always ready to assist with any queries or needs. Her local knowledge and recommendations added a special touch to my visit. The hotel was really nice and well-maintained, which made my stay very enjoyable.Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its great service, especially from Karen, and its nice, comfortable setting. It was a delightful experience!

Need shutting down basically. The surrounding service area is derelict and as a result this building is just being left to rot. Looks awful on the outside, smells on the inside. This is probably due to the cleaners not cleaning but instead going through my (and obviously therefore other people’s) belongings and eating some of my food. There is no where to buy food nearby or for fuel etc and the pictures are obviously from when it first opened, definitely not from now. As a result of stealing and a breach of privacy I shall never use travelodge again!

I was stranded due to another hotel I booked not responding to arrival check in queries. Reached travelodge at 1:00am and the receptionist was so cordial and empathetic and provided a solution to our dilemma. Advising us to book online was also a plus as we got much more affordable rates online.

Clean, comfortable and very quiet rooms. Polite & smiling staff.Yes, it's part of a closed down service station BUT the food court is boarded up, the petrol station part is scruffy but fenced off with a bit of graffiti but you only see this when you are exiting the car park. It did look like a heap of rubbish had recently been moved. The grass areas were freshly cut and the car park lit. Yes it's tired, but our rooms (two family rooms) were clean & fresh, soft carpets, no stains in room or bathroom. Will not hesitate to return.

Run down to the point you arrive and think its going to be closed down, not a secure or tidy carpark. Rooms are resonable, shower was very powerful for a change, friendly staff. Expensive if staying with dogs £20 each dog each night rather than per stay.

The hotel looks very rundown on arrival but the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff were so helpful and friendly however and made our stay really pleasant. Would definitely stay there in the future.
