The staff are always helpful despite it being a boring job. It's a great shame that items can't be recycled but it's hardly safe to be rummaging in skips!!!Nothing to stop you taking items off people before they are thrown in the skip. You do have to be there at the correct time as you are obviously not allowed to hang about waiting.

Always cheerful, helpful colleagues. Easy access onto the site and easy access to the skips.

Just been with my wife to get rid.of an old.shower cubicle, heavy and unwieldy glass and us 2 past our best but not an issue taken from us with a smile. Genuinely nice men happy to help a credit to doing a job lots wouldnt.

The recycling centre now has dedicated collection points for many more recycling streams than it originally offered. It also has reuse points on the right as you drive in for furniture, CDs, computer games, laptops, footwear and I think clothing. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Confrontational and militant staff who should not be public-facing. I was saddened to find items fly-tipped in a nature reserve just outside Marple (a couple of aluminium curtain poles), so I took them to this recycling facility as I was heading that way. I live just a couple miles away, but was very abruptly told that I could not drop the bits here because Derbyshire council does not pay them any money. I mentioned these were fly-tipped and they said that if I even mentioned fly-tipping then I would be reported. I asked if I could just drop them here, as it was only 2 poles, and they refused. I asked where I could go instead and they didn't know of any other waste recycling centres.There's nowhere to turn around so I had to go through the site, so I dropped them off anyway (and was caught, so I was subject to more confrontational behaviour, my car was photographed, a threat made to call the police, and told to never return there). I know they had told me not to, but given their attitude and the fact that this was waste that had been dumped in a Marple nature reserve, I felt it was all I could do. I was not going to stoop to the level of fly-tippers and return the waste to where I had found it, but the attitude of this centre certainly goes some way to explaining why there is an increase in fly tipping in the area. I have recently had problems with flytipping close to home; if there is space in my bin I will usually just put it there and do what a small section of society cannot be bothered to do; it is sad that a recycling site does not share or understand this mentality, and that their attitude will only lead to an increase in fly tipping.

Super impressed with how polite the staff are and how welcome this place is. Very different to bredbury where you feel like you’re being watched constantly.

I use this place approximately once a fortnight and find the staff friendly an extremely helpful!!The person on the gate always has a smile and a great attitude!!HOWEVER!!IF YOU GO DOWN TO THE DUMP TODAY BEWARE OF A BIG SURPRISE!!THERE IS A GRINCH!!I asked the one person there today to help me with a chair she was busy talking so I waited patiently!When she made her way across i was rollicked !YOU SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT SOMEONE WITH YOU!You are parked in the wrong spaceBut! This was the nearest space available!WELL! you should have waited!But! I would have blocked everyone!Moan! Moan!Moan!HAPPY CHRISTMAS All!!Especially to the GRINCH Ha! Ha!
