Indian Ocean Teak

We received very poor service from this company which seems to be a badly run one-man band. The website promised a 7 day delivery but our table took several weeks to arrive. Communication was poor - I had to call the company to get a delivery date update which they then failed to stick to with no further communication. When the table arrived it was not the same as in the website photos ( It did not have a parasol hole when not extended , a feature I specifically wanted). I phoned the company straight away but got a rude response - the guy told me the design had changed and to take them to court if I wasn't happy, then put the phone down on me.

I have just taken delivery of my garden table and chairs, a full five weeks after ordering them. I have phoned the company numerous times and each time was promised delivery within a week, but it never came. The member of staff I spoke to on the phone was unhelpful and patronising, and when I emailed to confirm one of the conversations, my email was never acknowledged. No coincidence that it took me asking for a refund for the stuff to arrive.The furniture seems ok at first glance, but I would not recommend buying from this company.

Ordered a table at the start of December but had to cancel the order before it was delivered. They first deducted £80 from the refund, and a month later I am still waiting for the refund to be processed. I have chased them over phone and email and am always promised the refund will be with me shortly. I am still waiting. Do not use this company if you want reliable customer service.

No stars. I ordered a dinning table, 8 chairs and umbrella. After two weeks I had had no contact from the company and so called to see what was happening with the items. I was told a truck had broken down, and they would be delivered later the same day or the next morning. Next day, by the end of the day nothing had arrived and again I had had no communication from the company. At this point I decided to cancel the order. It was a large order and I was in no way convinced that it would turn up. I was told a refund would be made and this would the 4-5 working days. Today is working day 8. I have spoken to the company again and told that the refund has been made and to take this up with my bank..... DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I am currently out of pocket by £800.

My gorgeous garden table and chairs delivered yesterday (28th June - ordered 7th June) top quality! Amin was lovely to deal with and the delivery team were great - helped take the furniture to the garden. Definitely recommend - but I would be prepared for at least 3 weeks wait for delivery.

Hi, in my opinion not a scam at all. Furniture ordered may 3rd, delivered on June 13th. For balance the updates were a little patchy in the final week and delivery was late by 6 days, however, consider the global situation on wood deliveries currently. The team went out of their way to get me my furniture, delivering at 8am on a Sunday...very pleased with the product and I would use again.

Ordered a nice looking table, chairs and umbrella from 'Indian Ocean Teak' only to be told, after the order was accepted, that the table was no longer available.. I was offered a replacement, which was supposedly the 'new model' of that table.. When it arrived it looked nothing like the original table, the chair cushions were missing and the umbrella was broken.. It took several attempts to contact them and they agreed to send the missing / replacement items. Almost 2 years later I'm still waiting...!!!Would NOT recommend...

Got our dining set, love it! Really good quality and amazing value for money. Delivery was a couple of weeks longer than expected but these guys were battling Brexit and COVID and beat our Jysk orders delivery time. Super friendly delivery guy too and so helpful moving it around into the garden- will definitely order from them again!

I noted this company has zero reviews, and if you are considering ordering from them, be forewarned. I bought one of their steamer chairs and it is nice and comfortable. But the metal parts were clearly used and taken from another chair, and the bolts were not fitted securely. However the real problem that gives me alarm is their professionalism and communications, which raises serious doubts about the long term quality of their merchandise and warranties. I will simply cut and paste my email to them after stupidly ordering a second chair and finding my concerns verified. I cancelled it and will now turn to their competitor of a similar name. They HAVE good reviews, which I mistakenly thought was for Indian Ocean Teak. .... Here's the email......Shall we start with some criticism? Your communications is awful and the 48-hour delivery guarantee should be removed from the site. It takes you a week at least, but I can't be sure of the exact delivery timing because YOU DO NOT COMMUNICATE. No replies to emails, no answers of phones.We are now at seven days since I bought a second steamer chair from you (that's right, a repeat customer!) I later asked for confirmation if you changed the billing address, which is different from the delivery address. You clearly did get the message, because my credit card was charged. So why not take a few second to confirm, rather than force me to look up my credit card activity? Fundamental professionalism in my world, if not yours.This comes after I couldn't get any information from you regarding the delivery of the first chair, which took around a week as well. Never mind that the metal parts clearly had been used and the screws needed tightening. But I am not precious about the metal -- these are outdoor chairs -- and the wood is nice and the chairs comfy. So I wanted a second one.I could have gone to your closely-named competitor, Ocean Teak, and gotten the same type of chair for a similar discounted" price. But I wanted an exact match

I ordered a bench from this company and then read the reviews. I did pay on credit card so felt some reassurance that I would get my money back if it all went wrong. I needn’t have worried. I did email and ask about delivery and whether the bench came assembled and the emails were answered quickly. I ordered on the 28th December and the company was closed until the 4th January, which I knew from the emails. The email informed me that the bench would be delivered between 4th and 8th January. It arrived on the 5th January. I got a call 45 minutes before, the driver was fab and it was all very efficient. The bench looks like good quality and hopefully it will last. Only time will tell on that one, but happy with the service and more than slightly relieved.
