I had a good experience, and Gharib is the best that is on offer away from London. I missed the bread and the Turkish drinks, they sell them all here. The shopworker was polite and, generally I had no problems, many thanks.

AVOID OR AT LEAST ASK FOR RECEIPT AND CHECK IT BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE SHOPA few days ago, I went to this shop and did a bit of shopping. When I was paying for the staff I bought, the shopkeeper was reluctant to give a receipt, when I ask he gave me one. I notices an item on my receipt which was marked as Plu577....... fir £2.99 along with other items marked as General for difference prices. I could not find any item in my basket matching the description, so I went back to the shop and asked what was this £2.99 for. The shopkeeper became very agitated and starting to be extremely rude. He even went as far as physically threatening me, as I was trying to put my shoppings back in the bag, he put another item in my bag without me knowing, so that he can justify the missing £2.99. I did not buy that item and I assume he did that to cover up and justify for the missing £2.99. This is not a lot of money but the principle of paying £2.99 for nothing just put me off from shopping in this place ever again, furthermore if you don’t check your receipt, you will not notice that their prices are much higher than similar shops. I paid £8.62 for a portion of watermelon at this place but bought almost identical portion from another shop for just £2.99.The shopkeeper was very vague about his position at the shop, he said to another shopper he just works there but after I approached him to find out what is the extra £2.99 is for, and asked to see the shop owner to make a complain, he said he is the shop owner. So, if you are reading this review and you are the shop owner, just letting you know, I hereby letting you know that I have every intention to take this matter further. I have made queries to trading standards and the council and they are very interested to know more about this incident. Because as well as being dishonest, the person was very threatening and confrontational. I hereby advise you to keep the CCTV footage of this incident safe until further notice as the police could also be involved. If you are the shop owner and you are another individual other than the shopkeeper I’ve had this interaction with, I urge you to contact me as soon as possible to discuss this further, otherwise, your trading reputation could be damaged for somebody else’s threatening behaviour. I have the receipt, images and a recording of the incident which could be an interesting piece of evidence to submit to trading standards. What as a customer I am expecting is to be treated with respect and to be charged for what I buy not to be charged extra for nothing. £2.99 as I said before is not much, but considering a number of customers this shop has per day, and if each of them being charged an extra £2.99, this is simply stealing, it is dishonest, immoral and wrong.I will do my best to spread the word about this shop in small Iranian community in Milton Keynes and next time I will make the longer journey and go to other shops in MK market to buy the stuff I need and I urge you to do the same too if you don’t want to pay extra for what you can buy at other places for almost half the price.

Great selection of food but today I was overcharged by £4. I only realised this when I got home. I was becoming a regular but feel I got scammed today so won't be coming back for a long time.Reply to owner:Thank you for your reply. No that wasn't me. I came in at around 11:45am. I purchased 2 packs of Turkish Delight (£1.99 each), 4 bottles of super malt (89p each) and 1 can of coconut water (unsure of price) but I was charged £11.99. I should have known that was not correct as it ending with 99p was too convenient but I was talking to the cashier so I was distracted. Ill pop in if I'm in the area again. Thank you.UPDATE:The problem was very well sorted out today. Thank you.
