Hilton Reading

I worked here for two days but didn’t stay in the hotel. A company I was delivering training for rented a meeting for two days. The team here were very professional and were always on hand to help if any issues popped up. Plenty of water, pens and paper were supplied and the lunch was very nice. Would definitely recommend if you want a meeting space.

Had serious issues with bathroom which flooded, and shower head was broken. Was unable to use the bathroom for the duration of my stay.Staff and Manager showed zero concern or empathy.Really really poor service or in this case care.The worst being the team tried to make excuses including the Manager suggesting it was a ‘wet room’ (the drain was completely blocked and there was 1” of water around the sink and toilet)Evening meal was at best average.Feels as tho Hotel relies on corporate clientele and doesn’t have to make any effortIf your travelling for Leisure I would think twice at this room rate.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Hilton Reading hotel, and I must say it was a disappointing experience.Firstly, the customer service was below par. When I arrived, I was informed that the room was ready, but I was charged an additional fee for an early check-in. This left a negative impression right from the start, as I believe good customer service should prioritize guest satisfaction.The overall condition of the hotel was also disappointing. The facilities seemed outdated and in need of renovation. It was evident that the hotel lacked proper maintenance and attention to detail. Additionally, several amenities were not available during my stay, which was quite disappointing.Another issue was the noise level. The walls seemed to be thin, as I could hear noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which affected my sleep quality. This lack of soundproofing made my stay less comfortable than I had hoped.On a positive note, the location of the hotel is convenient, offering easy access to Reading city center. However, this alone does not make up for the other shortcomings.Overall, I cannot recommend the Hilton Reading hotel based on my experience. The lack of attention to customer service, outdated facilities, and noise issues outweighed any positive aspects. I would suggest considering other options for accommodation in Reading.

Good quality bedding.Quiet, clean rooms.Breakfast and coffee both excellent.Free underground parking is very helpful, especially in icy weather.Free use of the adjoining well-equipped health club and pool is a bonus.Hilton Honors app allows use of mobile as digital door key, which is handy.

On arrival, the service at the front desk was exceptional! Access is all one level and lifts to the rooms fast and responsive. A comfy stay, quiet room, plenty of storage, a fabulously hot shower and good wifi connection on my phone. Breakfast was standard nothing special and there was a queue for one of two coffee machines working.

Every member of staff we dealt with were unreal. Beds comfy, room clean pool a little small but had no issues/wait to use. Great value

Fantastic hotel. It was our wedding anniversary they upgraded our room which was lovely. Ate in there restaurant oxbo the food is out of this world amazing. Staff very friendly and pleasant. We did digital check in and had a digital key on the app on my phone would recommend that it's fantastic plus you check yourself in and out the hotel . Had a fantastic stay will definitely be back in the future.

We received a warm welcome at arrival and all hotel staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, a minor downside was the size of the bed which, we thought, could have been bigger for 2 adults. Everything else was to our liking, from the restaurant to the spa and pool facilities.

I stayed here a lot before the lockdown. The restaurant refurbishment seems devoid of atmosphere now, but otherwise a good business hotel. Staff were very good.

Kevin, Mia and Salvo made our stay great. The breakfast staff is good. Restaurant in the evening is top notch. The lounge is the best. The only negative thing no walk in shower, I'm a short lady.
